1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 GNB
(1) There is no need to write you, friends, about the times and occasions when these things will happen. (2) For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief comes at night. (3) When people [false Christians and non-believers] say, "Everything is quiet and safe," then suddenly destruction will hit them! It will come as suddenly as the pains that come upon a woman in labor, and people will not escape. (4) But you, friends, are not in the darkness, and the Day should not take you by surprise like a thief. (5) All of you are people who belong to the light, who belong to the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 GW
(1) Brothers and sisters, you don't need anyone to write to you about times and dates. (2) You know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (3) When people [false Christians and non-believers] say, "Everything is safe and sound!" destruction will suddenly strike them. It will be as sudden as labor pains come to a pregnant woman. They won't be able to escape. (4) But, brothers and sisters, you don't live in the dark. That day won't take you by surprise as a thief would. (5) You belong to the day and the light not to the night and the dark.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 ALT
(1) Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers [and sisters], you* have no need [of] my writing to you*. (2) For you* yourselves accurately know that the Day of [the] Lord comes in this manner: as a thief in [the] night. (3) For when they [false Christians and non-believers] say, "Peace and safety!" then destruction comes upon them suddenly, even as the birth-pains [come upon] the one having in [the] womb [fig., who is pregnant], and by no means shall they escape. (4) But you*, brothers [and sisters], are not in darkness, so that the Day should overtake you* as a thief. (5) _You*_ all are sons [and daughters] of light and sons [and daughters] of day; we are not of night nor of darkness.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 NWT
. . .Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know quite well that Jehovah's  (  יהוה  )   day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they [false Christians and non-believers] are saying: "Peace and security!" then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. 4 But you, brothers, you are not in darkness, so that that day should overtake you as it would thieves, 5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness. . .

1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 BBE
(1) But about the times and their order, my brothers, there is no need for me to say anything to you. (2) For you yourselves have the knowledge that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (3) When they [false Christians and non-believers] say, There is peace and no danger, then sudden destruction will come on them, as birth-pains on a woman with child; and they will not be able to get away from it. (4) But you, my brothers, are not in the dark, for that day to overtake you like a thief: (5) For you are all sons of light and of the day: we are not of the night or of the dark.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation

Webster - 1833 Webster Bible

RV - Revised Version

YLT - Young's Literal Translation
