Colossians 2:6-12 CEV
(6) You have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord. Now keep on following him. (7) Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation for your life. Be strong in your faith, just as you were taught. And be grateful. (8) Don't let anyone fool you by using senseless arguments. These arguments may sound wise, but they are only human teachings. They come from the powers of this world and not from Christ. (9) God lives fully in Christ. (10) And you are fully grown because you belong to Christ, who is over every power and authority. (11) Christ has also taken away your selfish desires, just as circumcision removes flesh from the body. (12) And when you were baptized, it was the same as being buried with Christ. Then you were raised to life because you had faith in the power of God, who raised Christ from death.

Colossians 2:6-12 GNB
(6) Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. (7) Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. (8) See to it, then, that no one enslaves you by means of the worthless deceit of human wisdom, which comes from the teachings handed down by human beings and from the ruling spirits of the universe, and not from Christ. (9) For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in his humanity, (10) and you have been given full life in union with him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority. (11) In union with Christ you were circumcised, not with the circumcision that is made by human beings, but with the circumcision made by Christ, which consists of being freed from the power of this sinful self. (12) For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ through your faith in the active power of God, who raised him from death.

Colossians 2:6-12 ALT
(6) Therefore, as you* received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] be walking about [fig, be conducting yourselves] in Him, (7) having been rooted [fig., firmly established] and having been built up in Him and being established [or, strengthened] in the faith, just as you* were taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. (8) Be watching out lest anyone will be carrying you* away as spoils of war [fig., taking control of you*] through philosophy [or, human wisdom] and empty deception, according to the traditions of people, according to the rudimentary elements [or, basic teachings] of the world and not according to Christ. (9) Because in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [or, Deity] bodily, (10) and you* have been made full [or, have been completed] in Him, who is the Head of every rule and authority, (11) in whom you* also were circumcised with a circumcision done without human hands, by the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, (12) having been buried together with Him in baptism [or, immersion], in which you* also were raised together [with Him] through faith in the supernatural working of God, the One having raised Him from the dead.

Colossians 2:6-12 NWT
6 Therefore, as you have accepted Christ Jesus the Lord, go on walking in union with him, 7 rooted and being built up in him and being stabilized in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with [faith] in thanksgiving. 8 Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ; 9 because it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily. 10 And so you are possessed of a fullness by means of him, who is the head of all government and authority. 11 By relationship with him you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands by the stripping off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision that belongs to the Christ, 12 for you were buried with him in [his] baptism, and by relationship with him you were also raised up together through [your] faith in the operation of God, who raised him up from the dead.

Colossians 2:6-12 BBE
(6) As, then, you took Christ Jesus the Lord, so go on in him, (7) Rooted and based together in him, strong in the faith which the teaching gave you, giving praise to God at all times. (8) Take care that no one takes you away by force, through man's wisdom and deceit, going after the beliefs of men and the theories of the world, and not after Christ: (9) For in him all the wealth of God's being has a living form, (10) And you are complete in him, who is the head of all rule and authority: (11) In whom you had a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ; (12) Having been put to death with him in baptism, by which you came to life again with him, through faith in the working of God, who made him come back from the dead.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation
