Hebrews 5:7 & 8-10 NWT
. . .7 In the days of his flesh [Christ] offered up supplications and also petitions to the One who was able to save him out of death, with strong outcries and tears, and he was favorably heard for his godly fear.
. . .8 Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered; 9 and after he had been made perfect he became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those obeying him, 10 because he has been specifically called by God a high priest according to the manner of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 5:7 GW

Hebrews 5:7 BBE
(7) Who in the days of his flesh, having sent up prayers and requests with strong crying and weeping to him who was able to give him salvation from death, had his prayer answered [The answer was - he had to fulfill prophecy.] because of his fear of God. Hebrews 5:8-10 BBE
(8) And though he was a Son, through the pain which he underwent, the knowledge came to him of what it was to be under God's orders; (9) And when he had been made complete, he became the giver of eternal salvation to all those who are under his orders; (10) Being named by God a high priest of the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 5:7-10 CEV
(7) God had the power to save Jesus from death. And while Jesus was on earth, he begged God with loud crying and tears to save him. He truly worshiped God, and God listened to his prayers. (8) Jesus is God's own Son, but still he had to suffer before he could learn what it really means to obey God. (9) Suffering made Jesus perfect, and now he can save forever all who obey him. (10) This is because God chose him to be a high priest like Melchizedek.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation

Webster - 1833 Webster Bible
