John 12:25-28 CEV
(25) If you love your life, you will lose it. If you give it up in this world, you will be given eternal life. (26) If you serve me, you must go with me. My servants will be with me wherever I am. If you serve me, my Father will honor you. (27) Now I am deeply troubled, and I don't know what to say. But I must not ask my Father to keep me from this time of suffering. In fact, I came into the world to suffer. (28) So Father, bring glory to yourself. A voice from heaven then said, "I have already brought glory to myself, and I will do it again!"

John 12:25-28 NWT
25 He that is fond of his soul destroys it, but he that hates his soul in this world will safeguard it for everlasting life. 26 If anyone would minister to me, let him follow me, and where I am there my minister will be also. If anyone would minister to me, the Father will honor him. 27 Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me out of this hour. Nevertheless, this is why I have come to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name." Therefore a voice came out of heaven: "I both glorified [it] and will glorify [it] again."

John 12:25-28 BBE
(25) He who is in love with life will have it taken from him; and he who has no care for his life in this world will keep it for ever and ever. (26) If any man is my servant, let him come after me; and where I am, there will my servant be. If any man becomes my servant, my Father will give him honour. (27) Now is my soul troubled; and what am I to say? Father, keep me from this hour. No: for this purpose have I come to this hour. (28) Father, give glory to your name. Then there came a voice out of heaven, saying, I have given it glory, and I will give it glory again.

John 12:25-28 ALT
(25) "The one affectionately loving his life will lose it, and the one hating his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. (26) "If anyone shall be serving Me, let him be following Me, and where I am, there also My servant shall be. And if anyone shall be serving Me, the Father will honor him. (27) "Now has My soul been disturbed, and what shall I say—Father, save Me from this hour? But on account of this [reason] I came to this hour. (28) "Father, glorify Your name." Then came a voice out of heaven, "I both glorified [it], and again I will glorify [it]!"

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation

Webster - 1833 Webster Bible

RV - Revised Version

YLT - Young's Literal Translation
