The term "everlasting life" or "eternal life" is used in the Bible 46 times. Additionally the Bible uses terms like "reside forever" and similar phrases. Clearly, everlasting life is a hope held out to us by our Father.

John 3:13-21 BBE
(13) And no one has ever gone up to heaven but he who came down from heaven, the Son of man. (14) As the snake was lifted up by Moses* in the waste land, even so it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted up: (15) So that whoever has faith may have in him eternal life. (16) For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life. (17) God did not send his Son into the world to be judge of the world; he sent him so that the world might have salvation through him. (18) The man who has faith in him does not come up to be judged; but he who has no faith in him has been judged even now, because he has no faith in the name of the only Son of God. (19) And this is the test by which men are judged: the light has come into the world and men have more love for the dark than for the light, because their acts are evil. (20) The light is hated by everyone whose acts are evil and he does not come to the light for fear that his acts will be seen. (21) But he whose life is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his acts have been done by the help of God.

*While the Jews wandered in the wilderness, they sinned against Jehovah and were punished. Moses then crafted a serpent and held it up on a pole for the people to gaze at it so as to be delivered from the scourge. It was a prefigure of our need to exercise faith in the sacrifice of the Christ: Numbers 21:7-9 MKJV (7) And the people came to Moses and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against Jehovah and against you. Pray to Jehovah that He take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. (8) And Jehovah said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole. And it shall be when everyone that is bitten, when he looks upon it, he shall live. (9) And Moses made a serpent of bronze, and put it upon a pole. And it happened that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked upon the serpent of brass, he lived.

John 3:13-21 GNB
(13) And no one has ever gone up to heaven except the Son of Man, who came down from heaven." (14) As Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the desert, in the same way the Son of Man must be lifted up, (15) so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. (16) For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. (17) For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its savior. (18) Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God's only Son. (19) This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil. (20) Those who do evil things hate the light and will not come to the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be shown up. (21) But those who do what is true come to the light in order that the light may show that what they did was in obedience to God.

John 3:13-21 ALT
(13) "And no one has ascended into heaven, except the One having descended from heaven-the Son of Humanity, the One being in heaven. (14) "And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so it is necessary [for] the Son of Humanity to be lifted up, (15) so that every [one] believing [or, trusting] in Him shall not perish, _but_ shall be having eternal life. (16) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten [or, unique] Son, so that every [one] believing [or, trusting] in Him shall not perish, _but_ shall be having eternal life! (17) "For God did not send His Son into the world so that He should judge the world, _but_ so that the world shall be saved through Him. (18) "The one believing [or, trusting] in Him is not judged, but the one not believing already has been judged, because he has not believed in the Name of the only-begotten [or, unique] Son of God. (19) "Now this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their works were evil. (20) "For every [one] practicing wicked [things] hates the Light and does not come towards the Light, so that his works shall not be exposed. (21) "But the one doing the truth comes towards the Light, so that his works shall be revealed, that they have been done in God."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:
