Luke 17:28-37 LITV (28) And likewise, as it was in the days of Lot, they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; (29) but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed all. (30) According to those things, it will be in the day the Son of Man is revealed. (31) In that day, he who will be on the housetop, let him not go down to take his goods from the house. And likewise, he in the field, let him not return to the things behind. (32) Remember Lot's wife. (33) Whoever seeks to save his life, he will lose it. And whoever will lose it [or is willing to loose it for Christ], he will preserve it. (34) I say to you, In that night two will be on one bed; the one will be taken and the other will be left. (35) Two will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other will be left. (36) Two will be in the field, the one will be taken and the other will be left. (37) And answering, they said to Him, Where, Lord? And He said to them, Where the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

Luke 17:28-37 NWT 28 Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot came out of Sodom it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed. 31 "On that day let the person that is on the housetop but whose movable things are in the house not come down to pick these up, and the person out in the field, let him likewise not return to the things behind. 32 Remember the wife of Lot. 33 Whoever seeks to keep his soul safe for himself will lose it, but whoever loses it [or is willing to loose it for Christ] will preserve it alive. 34 I tell you, In that night two [men] will be in one bed; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned. 35 There will be two [women] grinding at the same mill; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned." 36 -- 37 So in response they said to him: "Where, Lord?" He said to them: "Where the body is, there also the eagles will be gathered together."

Luke 17:28-37 YLT (28) in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; (29) and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all. (30) `According to these things it shall be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed; (31) in that day, he who shall be on the house top, and his vessels in the house, let him not come down to take them away; and he in the field, in like manner, let him not turn backward; (32) remember the wife of Lot. (33) Whoever may seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever may lose it, shall preserve it. (34) `I say to you, In that night, there shall be two men on one couch, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left; (35) two women shall be grinding at the same place together, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left; (36) two men shall be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left.' (37) And they answering say to him, `Where, sir?' and he said to them, `Where the body is , there will the eagles be gathered together.'

Luke 17:28-37 Webster (28) Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; (29) But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all: (30) Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (31) In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. (32) Remember Lot's wife. (33) Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it. (34) I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left. (35) Two women will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left. (36) Two men will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left. (37) And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body is, thither will the eagles be collected.

Luke 17:28-37 BBE (28) In the same way, in the days of Lot; they were feasting and trading, they were planting and building; (29) But on the day when Lot went out of Sodom, fire came down from heaven and destruction came on them all. (30) So will it be in the day of the revelation of the Son of man. (31) On that day, if anyone is on the roof of the house, and his goods are in the house, let him not go down to take them away; and let him who is in the field not go back to his house. (32) Keep in mind Lot's wife. (33) If anyone makes an attempt to keep his life, it will be taken from him, but if anyone gives up his life, he will keep it. (34) I say to you, In that night there will be two men sleeping in one bed, and one will be taken away and the other let go. (35) Two women will be crushing grain together; one will be taken away and the other let go. (36) (OMITTED TEXT) (37) And they, answering him, said, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body is, there will the eagles come together.

Luke 17:28-37 GNB It will be as it was in the time of Lot. Everybody kept on eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. (29) On the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and killed them all. (30) That is how it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed. (31) "On that day someone who is on the roof of a house must not go down into the house to get any belongings; in the same way anyone who is out in the field must not go back to the house. (32) Remember Lot's wife! (33) Those who try to save their own life will lose it; those who lose their life will save it. (34) On that night, I tell you, there will be two people sleeping in the same bed: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind. (35) Two women will be grinding meal together: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind." (36) OMITTED TEXT (37) The disciples asked him, "Where, Lord?" Jesus answered, "Wherever there is a dead body, the vultures [eagles] will gather."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:
