Matthew 14:25-31 BBE
(25) And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. (26) And when they saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they gave cries of fear. (27) But straight away Jesus said to them, Take heart; it is I, have no fear. (28) And Peter, answering, said to him, Lord, if it is you, give me the order to come to you on the water. (29) And he said, Come. And Peter got out of the boat, and walking on the water, went to Jesus. (30) But when he saw the wind he was in fear and, starting to go down, he gave a cry, saying, Help, Lord. (31) And straight away Jesus put out his hand and took a grip of him, and said to him, O man of little faith, why were you in doubt?

Matthew 14:25-31 ALT
(25) But in the fourth watch of the night [i.e., between 3:00 - 6:00 a.m.], Jesus went to them, walking about on the sea. (26) And the disciples having seen Him walking about on the sea were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost [or, an apparition]!" And they cried out because of the fear. (27) But immediately, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be taking courage! _I_ am! Stop fearing!" (28) And answering, Peter said to Him, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the waters." (29) So He said, "Come!" And having stepped down from the boat, Peter walked about on the waters to come to Jesus. (30) But seeing the strong wind, he was frightened; and having begun to be sinking, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" (31) Then immediately Jesus, having stretched out His hand, took hold of him and says to him, "[O you] of little faith! Why did you waver [or, doubt]?"

(27) At once, Jesus said to them, "Don't worry! I am Jesus. Don't be afraid." (28) Peter replied, "Lord, if it is really you, tell me to come to you on the water." (29) "Come on!" Jesus said. Peter then got out of the boat and started walking on the water toward him. (30) But when Peter saw how strong the wind was, he was afraid and started sinking. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted. (31) Right away, Jesus reached out his hand. He helped Peter up and said, "You surely don't have much faith. Why do you doubt?"

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation

Webster - 1833 Webster Bible
