Matthew 16:28-17:5 GNB
(28) I assure you that there are some here who will not die until they have seen the Son of Man come as King." (1) Six days later Jesus took with him Peter and the brothers James and John and led them up a high mountain where they were alone. (2) As they looked on, a change came over Jesus: his face was shining like the sun, and his clothes were dazzling white. (3) Then the three disciples saw Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus. (4) So Peter spoke up and said to Jesus, "Lord, how good it is that we are here! If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." (5) While he was talking, a shining cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my own dear Son, with whom I am pleased---listen to him!"

Matthew 16:28-17:5 NWT
28 Truly I say to you that there are some of those standing here that will not taste death at all until first they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." 17 Six days later Jesus took Peter and James and John his brother along and brought them up into a lofty mountain by themselves. 2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun, and his outer garments became brilliant as the light. 3 And, look! there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, conversing with him. 4 Responsively Peter said to Jesus: "Lord, it is fine for us to be here. If you wish, I will erect three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah." 5 While he was yet speaking, look! a bright cloud overshadowed them, and, look! a voice out of the cloud, saying: "This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him."

Matthew 16:28-17:5 YLT
(28) Verily I say to you, there are certain of those standing here who shall not taste of death till they may see the Son of Man coming in his reign.' (4) And Peter answering said to Jesus, `Sir, it is good to us to be here; if thou wilt, we may make here three booths--for thee one, and for Moses one, and one for Elijah.' (5) While he is yet speaking, lo, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying, `This is My Son, --the Beloved, in whom I did delight; hear him.'

Matthew 16:28-17:5 CEV
(28) I promise you that some of those standing here will not die before they see the Son of Man coming with his kingdom. (1) Six days later Jesus took Peter and the brothers James and John with him. They went up on a very high mountain where they could be alone. (2) There in front of the disciples, Jesus was completely changed. His face was shining like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. (3) All at once Moses and Elijah were there talking with Jesus. (4) So Peter said to him, "Lord, it is good for us to be here! Let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." (5) While Peter was still speaking, the shadow of a bright cloud passed over them. From the cloud a voice said, "This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him. Listen to what he says!"

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version
