Proverbs 16:17-20 NWT
17 The highway of the upright ones is to turn away from bad. One who is safeguarding his way is keeping his soul. 18 Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. 19 Better is it to be lowly in spirit with the meek ones than to divide spoil with the self-exalted ones. 20 He that is showing insight in a matter will find good, and happy is he that is trusting in Jehovah.

Proverbs 16:17-20 ESV

(19) It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud. (20) Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version
