Proverbs 8:12-36 NWT
12 "I, wisdom, I have resided with shrewdness and I find even the knowledge of thinking abilities. 13 The fear of Jehovah means the hating of bad. Self-exaltation and pride and the bad way and the perverse mouth I have hated. 14 I have counsel and practical wisdom. I-understanding; I have mightiness. 15 By me kings themselves keep reigning, and high officials themselves keep decreeing righteousness. 16 By me princes themselves keep ruling as princes, and nobles are all judging in righteousness. 17 Those loving me I myself love, and those looking for me are the ones that find me. 18 Riches and glory are with me, hereditary values and righteousness. 19 My fruitage is better than gold, even than refined gold, and my produce than choice silver. 20 In the path of righteousness I walk, in the middle of the roadways of judgment, 21 to cause those loving me to take possession of substance; and their storehouses I keep filled. 22 "Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. 23 From time indefinite I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth. 24 When there were no watery deeps I was brought forth as with labor pains, when there were no springs heavily charged with water. 25 Before the mountains themselves had been settled down, ahead of the hills, I was brought forth as with labor pains, 26 when as yet he had not made the earth and the open spaces and the first part of the dust masses of the productive land. 27 When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he decreed a circle upon the face of the watery deep, 28 when he made firm the cloud masses above, when he caused the fountains of the watery deep to be strong, 29 when he set for the sea his decree that the waters themselves should not pass beyond his order, when he decreed the foundations of the earth, 30 then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time, 31 being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men." 32 "And now, O sons, listen to me; yes, happy are the ones that keep my very ways. 33 Listen to discipline and become wise, and do not show any neglect. 34 Happy is the man that is listening to me by keeping awake at my doors day by day, by watching at the posts of my entrances. 35 For the one finding me will certainly find life, and gets goodwill from Jehovah. 36 But the one missing me is doing violence to his soul; all those intensely hating me are the ones that do love death.". . .

Proverbs 8:12-36 GNB
(12) I am Wisdom, and I have insight; I have knowledge and sound judgment. (13) To honor the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil ways and false words. (14) I make plans and carry them out. I have understanding, and I am strong. (15) I help kings to govern and rulers to make good laws. (16) Every ruler on earth governs with my help, officials and nobles alike. (17) I love those who love me; whoever looks for me can find me. (18) I have riches and honor to give, prosperity and success. (19) What you get from me is better than the finest gold, better than the purest silver. (20) I walk the way of righteousness; I follow the paths of justice, (21) giving wealth to those who love me, filling their houses with treasures. (22) "The LORD created me first of all, the first of his works, long ago. (23) I was made in the very beginning, at the first, before the world began. (24) I was born before the oceans, when there were no springs of water. (25) I was born before the mountains, before the hills were set in place, (26) before God made the earth and its fields or even the first handful of soil. (27) I was there when he set the sky in place, when he stretched the horizon across the ocean, (28) when he placed the clouds in the sky, when he opened the springs of the ocean (29) and ordered the waters of the sea to rise no further than he said. I was there when he laid the earth's foundations. (30) I was beside him like an architect, I was his daily source of joy, always happy in his presence--- (31) happy with the world and pleased with the human race. (32) "Now, young people, listen to me. Do as I say, and you will be happy. (33) Listen to what you are taught. Be wise; do not neglect it. (34) Those who listen to me will be happy--- those who stay at my door every day, waiting at the entrance to my home. (35) Those who find me find life, and the LORD will be pleased with them. (36) Those who do not find me hurt themselves; anyone who hates me loves death."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
