Titus 1:13-2:1 CEV
That surely is a true saying. And you should be hard on such people, so you can help them grow stronger in their faith. (14) Don't pay any attention to any of those senseless Jewish stories and human commands. These are made up by people who won't obey the truth. (15) Everything is pure for someone whose heart is pure. But nothing is pure for an unbeliever with a dirty mind. That person's mind and conscience are destroyed. (16) Such people claim to know God, but their actions prove that they really don't. They are disgusting. They won't obey God, and they are too worthless to do anything good. Titus 2:1 CEV Titus, you must teach only what is correct.

Titus 1:13-2:1 NWT
13 This witness is true. For this very cause keep on reproving them with severity, that they may be healthy in the faith, 14 paying no attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn themselves away from the truth. 15 All things are clean to clean [persons]. But to [persons] defiled and faithless nothing is clean, but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort. 2 You, however, keep on speaking what things are fitting for healthful teaching.

Titus 1:12-2:1 GNB
It was a Cretan himself, one of their own prophets, who spoke the truth when he said, "Cretans are always liars, wicked beasts, and lazy gluttons." For this reason you must rebuke them sharply, so that they may have a healthy faith (13) (SEE 1:12) (14) and no longer hold on to Jewish legends and to human commandments which come from people who have rejected the truth. (15) Everything is pure to those who are themselves pure; but nothing is pure to those who are defiled and unbelieving, for their minds and consciences have been defiled. (16) They claim that they know God, but their actions deny it. They are hateful and disobedient, not fit to do anything good. Titus 2:1 GNB But you must teach what agrees with sound doctrine.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
