We do not judge JW's to be more guilty than other Religionists. We could have mentioned the Mormons, who are required to equate the book of Mormon with the Bible. Or the Catholics, with their required faith in the infallibility of spiritual decisions rendered by the Pope. It is the same with most any of the protestant groups, with their membership in, and adherence to, the mandates of the World Counsel of Churches. We could also mention the religious groups who don't even look to the Bible, and thereby fail to recognize God's provision of life as manifest in Christ Jesus. (1 John 4:2-3 ; 2 John 1:4-7 ; 1 John 2:22-25)

Jehovah's Witnesses are selected out, because they are more deceptive than most groups. They pretend and openly assert they are Bible students. They are not! They have cunningly elevated all their publications as extensions of the Bible, doing so by declaring them all to be "spiritual food." Because they hide who they are, people need to be warned about them (even more so than other groups who do not adhere to the Bible). Many among their group still actually believe they are Bible students. Understanding the failings of this group will help you understand the failings of many other dialects of organized false religion. Such Bible knowledge will, in turn, help you understand how true Christians are organized, based on their "individual" faith in Christ Jesus.

A second reason Jehovah's Witnesses are mentioned, is their choice to attempt to use God's personal name in their title. (Acts 11:26) We feel the need to caution Jehovah is not God's personal name, (John 17:26 ; Psalms_83:18) but a several hundred year old attempt to translate God's Hebrew name into English. is God's Hebrew Name. The Divine Name sounds like "YeaVah" ; that's Yea as in Yea go team, followed by Vah, as in the first two letters of Vault. YeaVah is a made up English sounds like word and should not be written to represent .

Their group, as do all religions, promotes salvation through membership. We promote knowledge of, and faith in, Jesus' teachings. The men and women who support this website are Bible students, attempting to be Christians by learning and applying the teachings of Jesus.
