Does the Bible teach the second coming, or appearance, of the Christ will be readily visible; or perhaps be hidden from those who choose not to see? (1 Corinthians 1:18-21 ; Isaiah 43:8-12 ; Luke 17:20-21 ; Luke 21:27 ; Matthew 24:43-44)

At some point Christ's presence will become obvious to all of course, as he will destroy God's enemies. (Revelation 6:2 ; 1 Corinthians 15:24-26 ; Acts 2:32-36 ; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)

We should note though, Jesus followers actually asked him: "What will be the sign of your presence and the conclusion of this system of things." (Matthew 24:3) Jesus went on to tell them to look for several things to happen; Things we see taking place in our day. Please note what Jesus did not say: He did not say he would be visibly present for them to see and talk with. (Matthew 24:23 ; Luke 17:20-21) He gave future indicators of his presence; forming the sign his followers had to be watching for to recognize his presence in kingdom power.

Notice what else Jesus said about his return at Mark chapter 13 verse 26   [Analytical Literal Translation]: "And then they will see 'the Son of Humanity coming in clouds' with much power and glory! [ALT here references Daniel 7:13]

Why would Jesus specifically mention his coming in the clouds? When Jesus's followers were present at his ascension into heaven, he was caught up into the clouds and out of their sight. As they were gazing up after him, likely looking where he had just disappeared from their sight, two angels appeared. Jesus was first present with his disciples, and then he was gone from their sight, and the angels told his followers Jesus would return in a similar fashion. Acts 1:9-11 From these other scriptures we can discern the angels meant Jesus's followers should be watching for the sign of his presence; even as Jesus himself had earlier told them. That is what we should be watching for today then: The composite sign of Jesus's presence. He will become more and more evident, more and more visible; until finally he visibly destroys those who oppose his Father's will. (2 Thessalonians 2:8)

We must recognize Christ's presence in kingdom power through our faith in what he taught. (Daniel 2:44 ; Psalm 2:12 ; Psalm 9:18)

The time for us to learn the truth, and make necessary changes in ourselves based on that Bible knowledge, and motivated by our love for Christ, is now. Learn what your Bible teaches! (John 17:3)
