This webpage assumes faith by the reader that Christ Jesus is the ransom sacrifice provided by his Father. (Acts 4:12 & 4:8-12; Acts 2:29-36) It assumes belief Jesus came to the earth, died for our sins, and was resurrected to sit at God's right hand; awaiting the time for Christ to assume kingly power. (Ephesians 1:19‑23; Philippians 2:5‑11)
We believe that if we had lived years ago, in the days of Abraham or King David, the thing we would have been looking for was for Jesus to appear as Messiah. (Many hoped and/or believed Jesus would establish his kingdom at that first coming in 29 CE. [Acts 1:6] He did not. [John 6:14-15]) In our day, we no longer look for the appearance of Messiah; that has happened. In our period of time, the thing we should be looking for - the thing we need to be looking for, is the second appearance of Christ: This time as reigning King. (Mat 26:63-64; 1 Cor 15:25-27) To that end, we want to understand all we can about what the Bible, and Christ Jesus himself, teaches about his second coming. This webpage is dedicated to that goal.
Understand: We are now witness to The Coming of the King! Christ is reigning from his heavenly throne as he goes subduing in the midst of his enemies. (Psa 110:2 of 110‑111; Mat 25:31-34) He is warring for hearts and minds using his words (the sword of his mouth - Rev 2:16). Soon, Messiah will rise up at Armageddon to destroy any remaining enemies of his Father, those not already killed by the tribulation! Are you being reborn so as to preserve yourself alive? If you are reborn as a new creation, (2 Cor 5:17; Gal 6:15) that means you are drinking the blood and eating the flesh of Christ... Are you? (Luke 17:26‑30) Put in other words, are you taking in God's spirit contained in the waters of life which are Christ's words? (John 7:37‑39) If so, don't you fear the tribulation. (Psa 91:5‑8 of 91) See you soon, then, in paradise.
Identifying 1914 as the year Christ established his throne in heaven: In the mid to late 1800's, Bible scholars from several denominations pointed out 1914 as the coming year for the establishment of Christ's Kingdom. Their arrival at that 1914 date was somewhat complex and they began counting from 607 B.C.E., when Jerusalem and even God's beautiful temple was destroyed and surviving captives taken to Babylon. The Gentile nation of Babylon became the ruling world power. That marked the end of God's kingdom on earth, and the start of earthly rule by the Gentile nations. History proves that to be so. To understand what would happen next, Bible students looked to a wonderful dream interpretation, and prophecy, given to Daniel, when in a dream Babylon's King Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom was taken from him for a period of seven years. (Daniel 4:1-37) That prophecy had a second application to the restoration of God's kingdom on earth and the end of the Gentile times. (Luke 21:24) Applying a formula Bible students believed was scriptural, to count forward from 607, they arrived at 1914 C.E. as being the year when God's rulership of the earth would be reestablished; by the Kingdom of Christ:
How, then, was the time calculated to arrive at 1914? Counting 2,520 years from early October of 607 B.C.E., brings us to early October of 1914 C.E.
How, though, did they equate the “SEVEN TIMES” of Daniel's prophecy with 2,520 years?
A Biblical “time,” or year = 12 X 30 days = 360. (Rev 11:2-3; Rev 12:6 & 14)
In the fulfillment of the “seven times” (2,520 days) each day equals one year.
(Ezek 4:6; Num 14:34)
Early October, 607 B.C.E., to December 31, 607 B.C.E.= 1/4 year
January 1, 606 B.C.E., to December 31, 1 B.C.E. = 606 years
January 1, 1 C.E., to December 31, 1913 = 1,913 years
January 1, 1914, to early October, 1914 = 3/4 year
Total: 2,520 years
What happened at that time? entrusted rulership over mankind to his own Son, Jesus Christ, glorified in the heavens.(Dan 7:13-14; 1 Cor 15:12-28)
