1 Peter 1:13-22 GNB
(13) So then, have your minds ready for action. Keep alert and set your hope completely on the blessing which will be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
(14) Be obedient to God, and do not allow your lives to be shaped by those desires you had when you were still ignorant.
(15) Instead, be holy in all that you do, just as God who called you is holy.
(16) The scripture says, "Be holy because I am holy." (Lev. 19:2)
(17) You call him Father, when you pray to God, who judges all people by the same standard, according to what each one has done; so then, spend the rest of your lives here on earth in reverence for him.
(18) For you know what was paid to set you free from the worthless manner of life handed down by your ancestors. It was not something that can be destroyed, such as silver or gold;
(19) it was the costly sacrifice of Christ, who was like a lamb without defect or flaw.
(20) He had been chosen by God before the creation of the world and was revealed in these last days for your sake.
(21) Through him you believe in God, who raised him from death and gave him glory; and so your faith and hope are fixed on God.
(22) Now that by your obedience to the truth you have purified yourselves and have come to have a sincere love for other believers, love one another earnestly with all your heart.
1 Peter 1:13-22 CEV
(13) Be alert and think straight. Put all your hope in how kind God will be to you when Jesus Christ appears.
(14) Behave like obedient children. Don't let your lives be controlled by your desires, as they used to be.
(15) Always live as God's holy people should, because God is the one who chose you, and he is holy.
(16) That's why the Scriptures say, "I am the holy God, and you must be holy too." (Lev. 19:2)
(17) You say that God is your Father, but God doesn't have favorites! He judges all people by what they do. So you must honor God while you live as strangers here on earth.
(18) You were rescued from the useless way of life that you learned from your ancestors. But you know that you were not rescued by such things as silver or gold that don't last forever.
(19) You were rescued by the precious blood of Christ, that spotless and innocent lamb.
(20) Christ was chosen even before the world was created, but because of you, he did not come until these last days.
(21) And when he did come, it was to lead you to have faith in God, who raised him from death and honored him in a glorious way. That's why you have put your faith and hope in God.
(22) You obeyed the truth, and your souls were made pure. Now you sincerely love each other. But you must keep on loving with all your heart.
1 Peter 1:13-22 NWT
13 Hence brace up your minds for activity, keep your senses completely; set your hope upon the undeserved kindness that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, quit being fashioned according to the desires you formerly had in your ignorance, 15 but, in accord with the Holy One who called you, do you also become holy yourselves in all your conduct, 16 because it is written: "You must be holy, because I am holy." (Lev. 19:2) 17 Furthermore, if you are calling upon the Father who judges impartially according to each one's work, conduct yourselves with fear during the time of your alien residence. 18 For you know that it was not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, that you were delivered from your fruitless form of conduct received by tradition from your forefathers. 19 But it was with precious blood, like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, even Christ's. 20 True, he was foreknown before the founding of the world, but he was made manifest at the end of the times for the sake of you 21 who through him are believers in God, the one who raised him up from the dead and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God. 22 Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth with unhypocritical brotherly affection as the result, love one another intensely from the heart.
1 Peter 1:13-22 LITV
(13) Because of this, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, perfectly hope on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
(14) as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves to your former lusts in your ignorance,
(15) but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct;
(16) because it has been written, "Be holy," "because I am holy." (Lev. 19:2)
(17) And if you call on the Father, the One judging according to the work of each one without respect of faces pass the time of your sojourning in fear,
(18) knowing that not with corruptible things, silver or gold, were you redeemed from your worthless way of life handed down from your fathers,
(19) but with precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot,
(20) indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times because of you,
(21) the ones believing in God through Him, He raising Him from the dead, and giving glory to Him so that your faith and hope may be in God.
(22) Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unpretended brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
