1 Peter 3:3-4 ALT
(3) whose adornment must not be external, of braided hair [or, elaborate hairstyles] and of wearing of gold [jewelry] or of putting on of clothing,
(4) _but_ [it must be] the hidden person of the heart [fig., inner self], with the incorruptible [beauty] of the gentle and quiet spirit, which is very costly [fig., precious] before God.

(4) Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special.
