Acts 22:25-28 ALT (25) But as he [i.e. one of the interrogators] stretched him out with the straps, Paul said to the centurion having stood by, "Is it lawful for you* to be scourging a man [who is] a Roman and uncondemned?" (26) Now the centurion having heard [this], having approached the commanding officer, reported, saying, "Watch what you are about to be doing, for this man is a Roman." (27) Then the commanding officer having approached, said to him, "Tell me, are _you_ a Roman?" And he said, "Yes." (27) And the chief captain came to him and said, Give me an answer, are you a Roman? And he said, Yes. (28) And the chief captain said, I got Roman rights for myself at a great price. And Paul said, But I had them by birth.

Acts 22:25-28 CEV (25) While the soldiers were tying Paul up to be beaten, he asked the officer standing there, "Is it legal to beat a Roman citizen before he has been tried in court?" "Yes," Paul answered. (28) The commander then said, "I paid a lot of money to become a Roman citizen." But Paul replied, "I was born a Roman citizen."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation

Webster - 1833 Webster Bible

RV - Revised Version

YLT - Young's Literal Translation
