Daniel 12:8-12 GW I heard him, but I did not understand. So I asked him, "Sir, how will these things end?" (9) He replied, "Go, Daniel. These words are to be kept secret and sealed until the end times. (10) Many will be purified, made white, and refined. But wicked people will do wicked things, and none of them will understand. Only wise people will understand. (11) From the time the daily burnt offering is taken away and the disgusting thing that causes destruction is set up, there will be 1,290 days. (12) Blessed are those who wait until they reach 1,335 days.

(9) He answered, "You must go now, Daniel, because these words are to be kept secret and hidden until the end comes. (10) Many people will be purified. Those who are wicked will not understand but will go on being wicked; only those who are wise will understand. (11) "From the time the daily sacrifices are stopped, that is, from the time of The Awful Horror, 1,290 days will pass. (12) Happy are those who remain faithful until 1,335 days are over!

Daniel 12:8-12 CEV I heard what the angel said, but I didn't understand. So I asked, "Sir, how will it all end?" The angel in my vision then replied: (9) Daniel, go about your business, because the meaning of this message will remain secret until the end of time. (10) Many people will have their hearts and lives made pure and clean, but those who are evil will keep on being evil and never understand. Only the wise will understand. (11) There will be one thousand two hundred ninety days from the time that the daily sacrifices are stopped, until someone sets up the "Horrible Thing" that causes destruction. (12) God will bless everyone who patiently waits until one thousand three hundred thirty-five days have gone by.

(10) Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. (11) And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. (12) Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days.
