These scriptures speak of the eventuality overtaking us all, if God did not intervene to help us. That intervention to save us from inherited death is one of the things Christ came to accomplish. It is important to know! (John 17:3) God does remember those righteously disposed. (Matthew 22:31-32)
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 BBE
(5) The living are conscious that death will come to them, but the dead are not conscious of anything, and they no longer have a reward, because there is no memory of them.
(6) Their love and their hate and their envy are now ended; and they have no longer a part for ever in anything which is done under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 NWT
5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that is to be done under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 LITV
(5) For the living know that they shall die; but the dead do not know anything; nor do they have any more a reward, for their memory is forgotten.
(6) Also their love, their hatred, and their envy has now perished; nor do they any longer have a part forever in all that is done under the sun.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:
ALT - Analytical Literal Translation
ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).
Darby - 1889 Darby Bible
DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible
BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English
LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible
KJV - King James Version
MKJV - Modern King James Version
NWT - New World Translation
Webster - 1833 Webster Bible
RV - Revised Version
YLT - Young's Literal Translation
