Isaiah 26:8-11 Calvin 1856 (8) Even in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah ( יהוה ) , We have waited for thee; To thy name, And to the remembrance of thee, Is the desire of the soul. (9) My soul hath desired thee in the night; Yea, with my spirit within me I will seek thee in the morning; For so soon as thy judgments shall be in the earth, The inhabitants of the earth shall learn righteousness. (10) The wicked man will obtain favour, And will not learn righteousness; In the land of upright actions he will deal unjustly, And will not behold the majesty of Jehovah. (11) Jehovah ( יהוה ) , though thy hand is lifted up, They will not see; They shall see, and be ashamed, Through their envy of the people; Yea, the fire of thine enemies [their unrelenting zeal for badness] shall devour them.
Isaiah 26:8-11 ESV In the path of your judgments, O LORD ( יהוה ) , we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul. (9) My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. (10) If favor is shown to the wicked, he does not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he deals corruptly and does not see the majesty of the LORD ( יהוה ) . (11) O LORD ( יהוה ) , your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed. Let the fire for your adversaries [their unrelenting zeal for badness] consume them.
Isaiah 26:8-11 GW Certainly, we wait with hope for you, O LORD ( יהוה ) , as we follow the path of your guiding principles. We want to remember you and your name. (9) With my soul I long for you at night. Yes, with my spirit I eagerly look for you. When your guiding principles are on earth, those who live in the world learn to do what is right. (10) Although the wicked are shown pity, they do not learn to do what is right. They do what is wrong in the upright land and do not see the majesty of the LORD ( יהוה ) . (11) O LORD, your power is visible, but they do not see it. They will see how devoted your people are, and they will be put to shame. Your burning anger will destroy your enemies.
Isaiah 26:8-11 LITV Yea, Jehovah ( יהוה ) , in the path of Your judgments we awaited You; for Your name and for Your memory is the desire of our soul. (9) With my soul I desire You in the night; yea, with my spirit within me I diligently seek You. For when Your judgments are in the earth, those living in the world learn righteousness. (10) The wicked finds favor; he does not learn righteousness; he deals perversely in the land of honesty, and does not see the majesty of Jehovah ( יהוה ) . (11) Jehovah ( יהוה ) , Your hand is high; they do not see; they see and are ashamed of the zeal of the people. Yea, the fire of Your foes [their unrelenting zeal for badness] devours them.
Isaiah 26:8-11 ASV Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah ( יהוה ) , have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial name, is the desire of our soul. (9) With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. (10) Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah ( יהוה ) . (11) Jehovah ( יהוה ) , thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see thy zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.
Isaiah 26:8-11 CEV You are the one we trust to bring about justice; above all else we want your name to be honored. (9) Throughout the night, my heart searches for you, because your decisions show everyone on this earth how to live right. (10) Even when the wicked are treated with mercy in this land of justice, they do wrong and are blind to your glory, our LORD ( יהוה ) . (11) Your hand is raised and ready to punish them, but they don't see it. Put them to shame! Show how much you care for us and throw them into the fire intended for your enemies.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
