••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••

The shepherds spoken of being struck by God in these scriptures certainly include the clergy and supporters of all the churches. Not to be overlooked, however, are the leaders of nations God has allowed to govern and lead in among his sons of Adam. (Rom 13:1-4) We are all just characters (1 Cor 4:9) in the final chapter of sinful mankind's 6000 year long existence. (Psa 37:10-11) Witnessing the destruction of this old world system is the accomplishment of everyone's having heard God's warning.

Jeremiah 25:15-35 CEV ...The LORD  (יהוה) God of Israel showed me a vision in which he said, "Jeremiah, here is a cup filled with the wine of my anger. Take it and make every nation drink some. (16) They will vomit and act crazy, because of the war this cup of anger will bring to them." (17) I took the cup from the LORD  (יהוה)'s hand, and I went to the kings of the nations and made each of them drink some. (18) I started with Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, and the king and his officials were removed from power in disgrace. Everyone still makes insulting jokes about them and uses their names as curse words. (19) The second place I went was Egypt, where everyone had to drink from the cup, including the king and his officials, the other government workers, the rest of the Egyptians, (20) and all the foreigners who lived in the country. Next I went to the king of Uz, and then to the four kings of Philistia, who ruled from Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and what was left of Ashdod. (21) Then I went to the kings of Edom, Moab, Ammon, (22) and to the kings of Tyre, Sidon, and their colonies across the sea. (23) After this, I went to the kings of Dedan, Tema, Buz, the tribes of the Arabian Desert, (24) (SEE 25:23) (25) Zimri, Elam, Media, (26) and the countries in the north, both near and far. I went to all the countries on earth, one after another, and finally to Babylonia. (27) The LORD  (יהוה) had said to tell each king, "The LORD  (יהוה) All-Powerful, the God of Israel, commands you to drink from this cup that is full of the wine of his anger. It will make you so drunk that you will vomit. And when the LORD  (יהוה) sends war against the nations, you will be completely defeated." (28) The LORD  (יהוה) told me that if any of them refused to drink from the cup, I must tell them that he had said, "I, the LORD  (יהוה) All-Powerful, command you to drink. (29) Starting with my own city of Jerusalem, everyone on earth will suffer from war. So there is no way I will let you escape unharmed." (30) The LORD  (יהוה) told me to say: From my sacred temple I will roar like thunder, while I trample my people and everyone else as though they were grapes. (31) My voice will be heard everywhere on earth, accusing nations of their crimes and sentencing the guilty to death. (32) The LORD  (יהוה) All-Powerful says: You can see disaster spreading from far across the earth, from nation to nation like a horrible storm. (33) When it strikes, I will kill so many people that their bodies will cover the ground like manure. No one will be left to bury them or to mourn. (34) The LORD  (יהוה)'s people are his flock, and you leaders were the shepherds. But now it's your turn to be butchered like sheep. You'll shatter like fine pottery dropped on the floor. So roll on the ground, crying and mourning. (35) You have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. *

Jeremiah 25:15-35 ESV . . .Thus the LORD  (יהוה), the God of Israel, said to me: "Take from my hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. (16) They shall drink and stagger and be crazed because of the sword that I am sending among them." (17) So I took the cup from the LORD  (יהוה)'s hand, and made all the nations to whom the LORD  (יהוה) sent me drink it: (18) Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day; (19) Pharaoh king of Egypt, his servants, his officials, all his people, (20) and all the mixed tribes among them; all the kings of the land of Uz and all the kings of the land of the Philistines (Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod); (21) Edom, Moab, and the sons of Ammon; (22) all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastland across the sea; (23) Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who cut the corners of their hair [maybe those imitating pagan practices]; (24) all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the mixed tribes who dwell in the desert; (25) all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of Media; (26) all the kings of the north, far and near, one after another, and all the kingdoms of the world that are on the face of the earth. And after them the king of Babylon shall drink. (27) "Then you shall say to them, 'Thus says the LORD  (יהוה) of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more, because of the sword that I am sending among you.' (28) "And if they refuse to accept the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, 'Thus says the LORD  (יהוה) of hosts: You must drink! (29) For behold, I begin to work disaster at the city that is called by my name, and shall you go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the LORD  (יהוה) of hosts.' (30) "You, therefore, shall prophesy against them all these words, and say to them: "'The LORD  (יהוה) will roar from on high, and from his holy habitation utter his voice; he will roar mightily against his fold, and shout, like those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. (31) The clamor will resound to the ends of the earth, for the LORD  (יהוה) has an indictment against the nations; he is entering into judgment with all flesh, and the wicked he will put to the sword, declares the LORD  (יהוה).' (32) "Thus says the LORD  (יהוה) of hosts: Behold, disaster is going forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest is stirring from the farthest parts of the earth! (33) "And those pierced by the LORD  (יהוה) on that day shall extend from one end of the earth to the other. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground. (34) "Wail, you shepherds, and cry out, and roll in ashes, you lords of the flock, for the days of your slaughter and dispersion have come, and you shall fall like a choice vessel. (35) No refuge will remain for the shepherds, nor escape for the lords of the flock.

Jeremiah 25:15-35 LITV . . .For so says Jehovah  (יהוה), the God of Israel, to me. Take the wine cup of this wrath from My hand and cause all the nations to whom I shall send you to drink it. (16) And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be maddened, because of the sword that I will send among them. (17) Then I took the cup from Jehovah  (יהוה)'s hand and made all the nations drink, those to whom Jehovah  (יהוה) had sent me: (18) Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and their kings, and their rulers, to make them a ruin, a horror, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day; (19) Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and his servants, and his rulers, and all his people; (20) and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod, (21) Edom, and Moab, and the sons of Ammon, (22) and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the coastal kings beyond the sea, (23) Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all who cut the corners of their beards, (24) and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the desert, (25) and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of Media, (26) and all the kings of the north, far and near, each one to his brother, and all the kingdoms of the world which are on the face of the earth; and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them. (27) So you shall say to them, So says Jehovah  (יהוה) of Hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunk, and vomit, and fall, and do not rise up, because of the sword which I will send among you. (28) And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, So says Jehovah  (יהוה) of Hosts, Drinking you shall drink. (29) For, behold, I begin to bring evil on the city on which is called My name, and shall you be found entirely without guilt? You shall not be without guilt. For I will call for a sword on all those living in the earth, says Jehovah  (יהוה) of Hosts. (30) And now you prophesy against them all these Words, and say to them, Jehovah  (יהוה) shall roar from on high and give forth His voice from His holy habitation; He shall mightily roar over His dwelling place. He answers with a shout, like those who tread out the grapes, against all those living in the earth. (31) A roaring will go to the ends of the earth, for Jehovah  (יהוה) has a controversy with the nations. He will enter into judgment with all flesh; He will give the wicked to the sword, says Jehovah  (יהוה). (32) So says Jehovah  (יהוה) of Hosts, Behold, evil is going from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be stirred up from the corners of the earth. (33) And the slain of Jehovah  (יהוה) shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be mourned, nor gathered, nor buried; they shall be as dung on the face of the earth. (34) Howl, O shepherds, and cry, and roll in ashes, O leaders of the flock! For the days of your slaughter and of your scatterings are fulfilled, and you shall fall like a desirable vessel. (35) And refuge has perished from the shepherds, and escape from the leaders of the flock.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
