Jeremiah 33:1-5 MWT (with God's Name restored) While Jeremiah was still being held in the courtyard of the prison, יהוה spoke his word to him a second time. יהוה said, (2) "I made the earth, formed it, and set it in place. My Name is יהוה. This is what יהוה says: (3) Call to me, and I will answer you. I will tell you great and mysterious things that you do not know. (4) The houses in this city and the palaces of the kings of Judah have been torn down to be used against the dirt ramps and weapons of the Babylonians. This is what יהוה God of Israel says about this: (5) The people of Israel fought the Babylonians. Now their houses are filled with the bodies of their own people I killed in my anger and my fury. I will hide my face from this city (from religious people) because of its wickedness.
Jeremiah 33:1-5 GNB While I was still in prison in the courtyard, the LORD's ( יהוה ) message came to me again. (2) The LORD ( יהוה ), who made the earth, who formed it and set it in place, spoke to me. He whose name is the LORD ( יהוה ) said, (3) "Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvelous things that you know nothing about. (4) I, the LORD ( יהוה ), the God of Israel, say that the houses of Jerusalem and the royal palace of Judah will be torn down as a result of the siege and the attack. (5) Some will fight against the Babylonians, who will fill the houses with the corpses of those whom I am going to strike down in my anger and fury. I have turned away from this city because of the evil things that its people have done.

(4) For so says Jehovah ( יהוה ), the God of Israel, Concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are torn down to defend against the siege mounds, and against the sword, (5) they come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men whom I have struck in My anger and in My wrath, and for whom I have hidden My face from this city, because of all their evil.
Jeremiah 33:1-6 ESV The word of the LORD ( יהוה ) came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the guard: (2) "Thus says the LORD ( יהוה ) who made the earth, the LORD ( יהוה ) who formed it to establish it-- LORD ( יהוה ) is his name: (3) Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. (4) For thus says the LORD ( יהוה ), the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and the houses of the kings of Judah that were torn down to make a defense against the siege mounds and against the sword: (5) They are coming in to fight against the Chaldeans and to fill them with the dead bodies of men whom I shall strike down in my anger and my wrath, for I have hidden my face from this city because of all their evil. (6) Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.
