John 15:7-11 CEV . . .Stay joined to me and let my teachings become part of you. Then you can pray for whatever you want, and your prayer will be answered. (8) When you become fruitful disciples of mine, my Father will be honored. (9) I have loved you, just as my Father has loved me. So remain faithful to my love for you. (10) If you obey me, I will keep loving you, just as my Father keeps loving me, because I have obeyed him. (11) I have told you this to make you as completely happy as I am.

(10) If you obey my commandments, you will live in my love. I have obeyed my Father's commandments, and in that way I live in his love. (11) I have told you this so that you will be as joyful as I am, and your joy will be complete.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
