John 17:13-23 CEV
(13) I am on my way to you. But I say these things while I am still in the world, so that my followers will have the same complete joy that I do.
(14) I have told them your message. But the people of this world hate them, because they don't belong to this world, just as I don't.
(15) Father, I don't ask you to take my followers out of the world, but keep them safe from the evil one.
(16) They don't belong to this world, and neither do I.
(17) Your word is the truth. So let this truth make them completely yours.
(18) I am sending them into the world, just as you sent me.
(19) I have given myself completely for their sake, so that they may belong completely to the truth.
(20) I am not praying just for these followers. I am also praying for everyone else who will have faith because of what my followers will say about me.
(21) I want all of them to be one with each other, just as I am one with you and you are one with me. I also want them to be one with us. Then the people of this world will believe that you sent me.
(22) I have honored my followers in the same way that you honored me, in order that they may be one with each other, just as we are one.
(23) I am one with them, and you are one with me, so that they may become completely one. Then this world's people will know that you sent me. They will know that you love my followers as much as you love me.

(13) And now I am coming to you, and I say these things in the world so that they might have my joy in their hearts in all its fullness.
(14) I gave them your message, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
(15) I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but I do ask you to keep them safe from the Evil One.
(16) Just as I do not belong to the world, they do not belong to the world.
(17) Dedicate them to yourself by means of the truth; your word is truth.
(18) I sent them into the world, just as you sent me into the world.
(19) And for their sake I dedicate myself to you, in order that they, too, may be truly dedicated to you.
(20) "I pray not only for them, but also for those who believe in me because of their message.
(21) I pray that they may all be one. Father! May they be in us, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me.
(22) I gave them the same glory you gave me, so that they may be one, just as you and I are one:
(23) I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one, in order that the world may know that you sent me and that you love them as you love me.

(21) May they all be one! Even as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, so let them be in us, so that all men may come to have faith that you sent me.
(22) And the glory which you have given to me I have given to them, so that they may be one even as we are one;
(23) I in them, and you in me, so that they may be made completely one, and so that it may become clear to all men that you have sent me and that they are loved by you as I am loved by you.

13 But now I am coming to you, and I am speaking these things in the world in order that they may have my joy in themselves to the full. 14 I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. 15 "I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one. 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. 17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. 18 Just as you sent me forth into the world, I also sent them forth into the world. 19 And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, that they also may be sanctified by means of truth. 20 "I make request, not concerning these only, but also concerning those putting faith in me through their word; 21 in order that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, in order that the world may believe that you sent me forth. 22 Also, I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one. 23 I in union with them and you in union with me, in order that they may be perfected into one, that the world may have the knowledge that you sent me forth and that you loved them just as you loved me.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
