(15) The woman told Jesus, "Sir, give me this water! Then I won't get thirsty or have to come here to get water." (16) Jesus told her, "Go to your husband, and bring him here." (17) The woman replied, "I don't have a husband." Jesus told her, "You're right when you say that you don't have a husband. (18) You've had five husbands, and the man you have now isn't your husband. You've told the truth." (19) The woman said to Jesus, "I see that you're a prophet! (20) Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain. But you Jews say that people must worship in Jerusalem." (21) Jesus told her, "Believe me. A time is coming when you Samaritans won't be worshiping the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. (22) You don't know what you're worshiping. We Jews know what we're worshiping, because salvation comes from the Jews. (23) Indeed, the time is coming, and it is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is looking for people like that to worship him. (24) God is a spirit. Those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." (25) The woman said to him, "I know that the Messiah is coming. When he comes, he will tell us everything." (Messiah is the one called Christ.) (26) Jesus told her, "I am he, and I am speaking to you now."

Then I will never be thirsty again, nor will I have to come here to draw water." (16) "Go and call your husband," Jesus told her, "and come back." (17) "I don't have a husband," she answered. Jesus replied, "You are right when you say you don't have a husband. (18) You have been married to five men, and the man you live with now is not really your husband. You have told me the truth." (19) "I see you are a prophet, sir," the woman said. (20) "My Samaritan ancestors worshiped God on this mountain, but you Jews say that Jerusalem is the place where we should worship God." (21) Jesus said to her, "Believe me, woman, the time will come when people will not worship the Father either on this mountain or in Jerusalem. (22) You Samaritans do not really know whom you worship; but we Jews know whom we worship, because it is from the Jews that salvation comes. (23) But the time is coming and is already here, when by the power of God's Spirit people will worship the Father as he really is, offering him the true worship that he wants. (24) God is Spirit, and only by the power of his Spirit can people worship him as he really is." (25) The woman said to him, "I know that the Messiah will come, and when he comes, he will tell us everything." (26) Jesus answered, "I am he, I who am talking with you."
John 4:14-26 CEV But no one who drinks the water I give will ever be thirsty again. The water I give is like a flowing fountain that gives eternal life." (15) The woman replied, "Sir, please give me a drink of that water! Then I won't get thirsty and have to come to this well again." (16) Jesus told her, "Go and bring your husband." (17) The woman answered, "I don't have a husband." "That's right," Jesus replied, "you're telling the truth. You don't have a husband. You have already been married five times, and the man you are now living with isn't your husband." (18) (SEE 4:17) (19) The woman said, "Sir, I can see that you are a prophet. (20) My ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews say Jerusalem is the only place to worship." (21) Jesus said to her: Believe me, the time is coming when you won't worship the Father either on this mountain or in Jerusalem. (22) You Samaritans don't really know the one you worship. But we Jews do know the God we worship, and by using us, God will save the world. (23) But a time is coming, and it is already here! Even now the true worshipers are being led by the Spirit to worship the Father according to the truth. These are the ones the Father is seeking to worship him. (24) God is Spirit, and those who worship God must be led by the Spirit to worship him according to the truth. (25) The woman said, "I know that the Messiah will come. He is the one we call Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." (26) "I am that one," Jesus told her, "and I am speaking to you now."

(20) Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship." (21) Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. (22) You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. (23) But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. (24) God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." (25) The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things." (26) Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am he."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
