John 6:26-29 GNB
Jesus answered, "I am telling you the truth: you are looking for me because you ate the bread and had all you wanted, not because you understood my miracles. (27) Do not work for food that spoils; instead, work for the food that lasts for eternal life. This is the food which the Son of Man will give you, because God, the Father, has put his mark of approval on him." (28) So they asked him, "What can we do in order to do what God wants us to do?" (29) Jesus answered, "What God wants you to do is to believe in the one he sent."
John 6:26-29 GW Jesus replied to them, "I can guarantee this truth: You're not looking for me because you saw miracles. You are looking for me because you ate as much of those loaves as you wanted. (27) Don't work for food that spoils. Instead, work for the food that lasts into eternal life. This is the food the Son of Man will give you. After all, the Father has placed his seal of approval on him." (28) The people asked Jesus, "What does God want us to do?" (29) Jesus replied to them, "God wants to do something for you so that you believe in the one whom he has sent."
John 6:26-29 ALT
(26) Jesus answered them and said, "Most positively, I say to you*, you* seek Me, not because you* saw signs, _but_ because you* ate of the loaves of bread and were satisfied.
(27) "Stop working [for] the food that perishes by itself, _but_ [be working for] the food that remains to eternal life, which the Son of Humanity will give to you*, for God the Father has set [His] seal [on] Him."
(28) Therefore, they said to Him, "What shall we be doing so that we shall be working the works of God?"
(29) Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you* be believing [or, trusting] in Him whom that One sent."
John 6:26-29 BBE
(26) Jesus, answering them, said, Truly I say to you, You come after me, not because you saw signs, but because you were given the bread and had enough.
(27) Let your work not be for the food which comes to an end, but for the food which goes on for eternal life, which the Son of man will give to you, for on him has God the Father put his mark.
(28) Then they said to him, How may we do the works of God?
(29) Jesus, answering, said to them, This is to do the work of God: to have faith in him whom God has sent.
John 6:26-29 NWT
26 Jesus answered them and said: "Most truly I say to you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate from the loaves and were satisfied. 27 Work, not for the food that perishes, but for the food that remains for life everlasting, which the Son of man will give you; for upon this one the Father, even God, has put his seal [of approval]." 28 Therefore they said to him: "What shall we do to work the works of God?" 29 In answer Jesus said to them: "This is the work of God, that you exercise faith in him whom that One sent forth.. . .

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:
ALT - Analytical Literal Translation
ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).
Darby - 1889 Darby Bible
DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible
BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English
LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible
KJV - King James Version
MKJV - Modern King James Version
NWT - New World Translation
