Luke 1:24-38 GNB Some time later his (Zechariah's) wife Elizabeth became pregnant and did not leave the house for five months. (25) "Now at last the LORD ( יהוה ) has helped me," she said. "He has taken away my public disgrace!" (26) In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy God sent the angel Gabriel to a town in Galilee named Nazareth. (27) He had a message for a young woman promised in marriage to a man named Joseph, who was a descendant of King David. Her name was Mary. (28) The angel came to her and said, "Peace be with you! The Lord is with you and has greatly blessed you!" (29) Mary was deeply troubled by the angel's message, and she wondered what his words meant. (30) The angel said to her, "Don't be afraid, Mary; God has been gracious to you. (31) You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. (32) He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High God. The Lord God will make him a king, as his ancestor David was, (33) and he will be the king of the descendants of Jacob forever; (Gal 3:26‑29; Gal 3:7‑9) his kingdom will never end!" (34) Mary said to the angel, "I am a virgin. How, then, can this be?" (35) The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and God's power will rest upon you. For this reason the holy child will be called the Son of God. (36) Remember your relative Elizabeth. It is said that she cannot have children, but she herself is now six months pregnant, even though she is very old. (37) For there is nothing that God cannot do." (38) "I am the Lord's servant," said Mary; "may it happen to me as you have said." And the angel left her.
Luke 1:24-38 GW Later, his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and didn't go out in public for five months. She said, (25) "The LORD ( יהוה ) has done this for me now. He has removed my public disgrace." (26) Six months after Elizabeth had become pregnant, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a city in Galilee. (27) The angel went to a virgin promised in marriage to a descendant of David named Joseph. The virgin's name was Mary. (28) When the angel entered her home, he greeted her and said, "You are favored by the Lord! The Lord is with you." (29) She was startled by what the angel said and tried to figure out what this greeting meant. (30) The angel told her, "Don't be afraid, Mary. You have found favor with God. (31) You will become pregnant, give birth to a son, and name him Jesus. (32) He will be a great man and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. (33) Your son will be king of Jacob's people forever, (Gal 3:26‑29; Gal 3:7‑9) and his kingdom will never end." (34) Mary asked the angel, "How can this be? I've never had sexual intercourse." (35) The angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come to you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy child developing inside you will be called the Son of God. (36) "Elizabeth, your relative, is six months pregnant with a son in her old age. People said she couldn't have a child. (37) But nothing is impossible for God." (38) Mary answered, "I am the Lord's servant. Let everything you've said happen to me." Then the angel left her.
Luke 1:24-38 ESV After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself hidden, saying, (25) "Thus the LORD ( יהוה ) has done for me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among people." (26) In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, (27) to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. (28) And he came to her and said, "Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" (29) But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. (30) And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. (31) And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. (32) He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, (33) and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, (Gal 3:26‑29; Gal 3:7‑9) and of his kingdom there will be no end." (34) And Mary said to the angel, "How will this be, since I am a virgin?" (35) And the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy--the Son of God. (36) And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. (37) For nothing will be impossible with God." (38) And Mary said, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
