Malachi 4:1-3 CEV The day of judgment is certain to come. And it will be like a red-hot furnace with flames that burn up proud and sinful people, as though they were straw. Not a branch or a root will be left. I, the LORD () All-Powerful, have spoken! (2) But for you that honor my name, victory will shine like the sun with healing in its rays, and you will jump around like calves at play. (3) When I come to bring justice, you will trample those who are evil, as though they were ashes under your feet. I, the LORD () All-Powerful, have spoken!
Malachi 4:1-3 GNB The LORD () Almighty says, "The day is coming when all proud and evil people will burn like straw. On that day they will burn up, and there will be nothing left of them. (3) On the day when I act, you will overcome the wicked, and they will be like (ashes) dust under your feet.
Malachi 4:1-3 ESV "For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. (3) And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD () of hosts.

(2) But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall. You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals. The Translations we quote are:
