Matthew 24:22 Murdock . . .And unless those days should be cut short, no flesh would remain alive. But, for the elect's sake, those days will be cut short.

Matthew 24:22 CEV . . .If God doesn't make the time shorter, no one will be left alive. But because of God's chosen ones, he will make the time shorter.

Matthew 24:22 ALT . . ."And if those days were not cut short, no flesh would be saved; but because of the chosen ones [or, the elect], those days will be cut short.

Matthew 24:22 YLT . . .And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.

Matthew 24:22 NWT . . .In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.
