Psalms 27:1-14 MWT (By King David - God's Hebrew Name restored.)
You, O יהוה, are my light and my salvation. Of whom shall I be in fear. יהוה is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be in dread. (2) When evil doers approach to eat up my flesh, they being my adversaries and enemies personally, they themselves stumbled and fell. (3) Armies may surround me, but I won't be afraid; war may break out, but I will trust you. (4) One thing I have asked from יהוה, it is what I shall look for: Let me live in your house all the days of my life, to see how wonderful you are and to pray in your temple. (5) In times of trouble, you will protect me. You will hide me in your tent and keep me safe on top of a mighty rock. (6) You will let me defeat all of my enemies. Then I will celebrate, as I enter your tent with sacrifices of joyful shouting, I will sing and make melody to יהוה my God. (7) Please listen when I pray! Have pity. Answer my prayer. (8) My heart tells me to pray. I am eager to see your face, (9) so don't hide from me. I am your servant, and you have helped me. Don't turn from me in anger. You alone keep me safe. Don't reject or desert me. (10) Even if my own father and mother should desert me, even יהוה himself would take me up. (11) Teach me to follow you, יהוה, and lead me on the right path because of my enemies. (12) Don't let them do to me what they want. People tell lies about me and make terrible threats, (13) If I had not had faith in seeing the goodness of יהוה in the land of those alive...! (14) Hope in יהוה! Be courageous and let your heart be strong. Yes, trust in יהוה.

27 Jehovah (יהוה) is my light and my salvation. Of whom shall I be in fear? Jehovah (יהוה) is the stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be in dread? 2 When the evildoers approached against me to eat up my flesh, They being my adversaries and my enemies personally, They themselves stumbled and fell. 3 Though against me an encampment should pitch tent, My heart will not fear. Though against me war should rise, Even then I shall be trusting. 4 One thing I have asked from Jehovah (יהוה)— It is what I shall look for, That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah (יהוה) all the days of my life, To behold the pleasantness of Jehovah (יהוה) And to look with appreciation upon his temple. 5 For he will hide me in his covert in the day of calamity; He will conceal me in the secret place of his tent; High on a rock he will put me. 6 And now my head will be high above my enemies all around me; And I will sacrifice at his tent sacrifices of joyful shouting; I will sing and make melody to Jehovah (יהוה). 7 Hear, O Jehovah (יהוה), when I call with my voice, And show me favor and answer me. 8 Concerning you my heart has said: "Seek to find my face, YOU people." Your face, O Jehovah (יהוה), I shall seek to find. 9 Do not conceal your face from me. Do not in anger turn your servant away. My assistance you must become. Do not forsake me and do not leave me, O my God of salvation. 10 In case my own father and my own mother did leave me, Even Jehovah (יהוה) himself would take me up. 11 Instruct me, O Jehovah (יהוה), in your way, And lead me in the path of uprightness on account of my foes. 12 Do not give me over to the soul of my adversaries; For against me false witnesses have risen up, And he who launches forth violence. 13 If I had not had faith in seeing the goodness of Jehovah (יהוה) in the land of those alive-! 14 Hope in Jehovah (יהוה); be courageous and let your heart be strong. You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
