Psalms 34:11-22 GNB Come, my young friends, and listen to me, and I will teach you to honor the LORD ( יהוה ) . (12) Would you like to enjoy life? Do you want long life and happiness? (13) Then keep from speaking evil and from telling lies. (14) Turn away from evil and do good; strive for peace with all your heart. (15) The LORD ( יהוה )   watches over the righteous and listens to their cries; (16) but he opposes those who do evil, so that when they die, they are soon forgotten. (17) The righteous call to the LORD ( יהוה ) , and he listens; he rescues them from all their troubles. (18) The LORD ( יהוה ) is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope. (19) Good people suffer many troubles, but the LORD ( יהוה ) saves them from them all; (20) the LORD ( יהוה ) preserves them completely; not one of their bones is broken. (21) Evil will kill the wicked; those who hate the righteous will be punished. (22) The LORD ( יהוה ) will save his people; those who go to him for protection will be spared.
Psalms 34:11-22 CEV Come, my children, listen as I teach you to respect the LORD ( יהוה )   . (12) Do you want to live and enjoy a long life? (13) Then don't say cruel things and don't tell lies. (14) Do good instead of evil and try to live at peace. (15) If you obey the LORD ( יהוה )   , he will watch over you and answer your prayers. (16) But God despises evil people, and he will wipe them all from the earth, till they are forgotten. (17) When his people pray for help, he listens and rescues them from their troubles. (18) The LORD ( יהוה )   is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope. (19) The LORD's ( יהוה )   people may suffer a lot, but he will always bring them safely through. (20) Not one of their bones will ever be broken. (21) Wicked people are killed by their own evil deeds, and if you hate God's people you will be punished. (22) The LORD ( יהוה )   saves the lives of his servants. Run to him for protection, and you won't be punished.

(13) Keep your tongue from saying evil things and your lips from speaking deceitful things. (14) Turn away from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it! (15) The LORD ( יהוה ) 'S eyes are on righteous people. His ears hear their cry for help. (16) The LORD ( יהוה ) confronts those who do evil in order to wipe out all memory of them from the earth. (17) Righteous people cry out. The LORD ( יהוה ) hears and rescues them from all their troubles. (18) The LORD ( יהוה ) is near to those whose hearts are humble. He saves those whose spirits are crushed. (19) The righteous person has many troubles, but the LORD ( יהוה ) rescues him from all of them. (20) The LORD ( יהוה ) guards all of his bones. Not one of them is broken. (21) Evil will kill wicked people, and those who hate righteous people will be condemned. (22) The LORD ( יהוה ) protects the souls of his servants. All who take refuge in him will never be condemned.

(15) The eyes of Jehovah ( יהוה ) are on the righteous; and His ears are open to their cry. (16) The face of Jehovah ( יהוה ) is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth. (17) The righteous cry, and Jehovah ( יהוה ) hears; and He saves them out of all their distresses. (18) Jehovah ( יהוה ) is near to the broken of heart; and He saves the crushed of spirit. (19) Many are the evils of the righteous, but Jehovah ( יהוה ) helps him out of them all, (20) keeping all His bones; not one of them is broken. (21) Evil shall slay the wicked; yea, those who hate the righteous shall become guilty.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us.
