Psalms 37:7-15 GNB Be patient and wait for the LORD ( יהוה ) to act; don't be worried about those who (seem to) prosper or those who succeed in their evil plans. (8) Don't give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble. (9) Those who trust in the LORD () will possess the land, but the wicked will be driven out. (10) Soon the wicked will disappear; you may look for them, but you won't find them; (11) but the humble will possess the land and enjoy prosperity and peace. (12) The wicked plot against good people and glare at them with hate. (13) But the Lord laughs at wicked people, because he knows they will soon be destroyed. (14) The wicked draw their swords and bend their bows to kill the poor and needy, to slaughter those who do what is right; (15) but they will be killed by their own swords, and their bows will be smashed.

(14) The wicked kill with swords and shoot arrows to murder the poor and the needy and all who do right. (15) But they will be killed by their own swords, and their arrows will be broken.

(11) But the meek shall inherit the earth; yea, they shall delight themselves in abundant peace. (12) The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes on him with his teeth; (13) the Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. (14) The wicked have drawn out the sword and they have trodden their bow, to cause the poor and needy to fall, to kill those who walk uprightly. (15) Their sword shall enter into their heart, and their bows shall be broken.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals. The Translations we quote are:
