Revelation 3:1-6 GNB "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: "This is the message from the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know what you are doing; I know that you have the reputation of being alive, even though you are dead! (2) So wake up, and strengthen what you still have before it dies completely. For I find that what you have done is not yet perfect in the sight of my God. (3) Remember, then, what you were taught (by Jesus) and what you heard; obey it and turn from your sins. If you do not wake up, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not even know the time when I will come. (4) But a few of you there in Sardis have kept your clothes clean. You will walk with me, clothed in white, because you are worthy to do so. (5) Those who win the victory will be clothed like this in white, and I will not remove their names from the book of the living. In the presence of my Father and of his angels I will declare openly that they belong to me. (6) "If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches!
Revelation 3:1-6 CEV This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Sardis: I have the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. Listen to what I say. I know what you are doing. Everyone may think you are alive, but you are dead. (2) Wake up! You have only a little strength left, and it is almost gone. So try to become stronger. I have found that you are not completely obeying God. (3) Remember the teaching that you were given (by Christ) and that you heard. Hold firmly to it and turn from your sins. If you don't wake up, I will come when you least expect it, just as a thief does. (4) A few of you in Sardis have not dirtied your clothes with sin. You will walk with me in white clothes, because you are worthy. (5) Everyone who wins the victory will wear white clothes. Their names will not be erased from the book of life, and I will tell my Father and his angels that they are my followers. (6) If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
Revelation 3:1-6 GW "To the messenger of the church in Sardis, write: The one who has God's seven spirits and the seven stars says: I know what you have done. You are known for being alive, but you are dead. (2) Be alert, and strengthen the things that are left which are about to die. I have found that what you are doing has not been completed in the sight of my God. (3) So remember what you received and heard (from Christ). Obey, and change the way you think and act. If you're not alert, I'll come like a thief. You don't know when I will come. (4) But you have a few people in Sardis who have kept their clothes clean. They will walk with me in white clothes because they deserve it. (5) Everyone who wins the victory this way will wear white clothes. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life. I will acknowledge them in the presence of my Father and his angels. (6) Let the person who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
