Romans 1:1-7 CEV From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus. God chose me to be an apostle, and he appointed me to preach the good news (2) that he promised long ago by what his prophets said in the holy Scriptures. (3) This good news is about his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ! As a human, he was from the family of David. But the Holy Spirit proved that Jesus is the powerful Son of God, because he was raised from death. (4) (SEE 1:3) (5) Jesus was kind to me and chose me to be an apostle, so that people of all nations would obey and have faith. (6) You are some of those people chosen by Jesus Christ. (7) This letter is to all of you in Rome. God loves you and has chosen you to be his very own people. I pray that God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace!

Romans 1:1-7 GNB From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus and an apostle chosen and called by God to preach his Good News. (2) The Good News was promised long ago by God through his prophets, as written in the Holy Scriptures. (3) It is about his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ: as to his humanity, he was born a descendant of David; (4) as to his divine holiness, he was shown with great power to be the Son of God by being raised from death. (5) Through him God gave me the privilege of being an apostle for the sake of Christ, in order to lead people of all nations to believe and obey. (6) This also includes you who are in Rome, whom God has called to belong to Jesus Christ. (7) And so I write to all of you in Rome whom God loves and has called to be his own people: May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Romans 1:1-7 LITV Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God, (2) which He promised before through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, (3) concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh, (4) who was marked out the Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord; (5) by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name's sake, (6) among whom are you also, called-out ones of Jesus Christ; (7) to all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called-out saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:1-7 BBE Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, an Apostle by the selection of God, given authority as a preacher of the good news, (2) Of which God had given word before by his prophets in the holy Writings, (3) About his Son who, in the flesh, came from the family of David, (4) But was marked out as Son of God in power by the Holy Spirit through the coming to life again of the dead; Jesus Christ our Lord, (5) Through whom grace has been given to us, sending us out to make disciples to the faith among all nations, for his name: (6) Among whom you in the same way have been marked out to be disciples of Jesus Christ: (7) To all those who are in Rome, loved by God, marked out as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
