Romans 7:8 MWT
8 But sin, seeming to me desirable because of the commandment, worked out in me covetousness of every sort, for apart from law sin was dead.

(8) But by means of that commandment sin found its chance to stir up all kinds of selfish desires in me. Apart from law, sin is a dead thing.
