Romans 9:22-24 CEV God wanted to show his anger and reveal his power against everyone who deserved to be destroyed. But instead, he patiently put up with them. (23) He did this by showing how glorious he is when he has pity on the people he has chosen to share in his glory. (24) Whether Jews or Gentiles, we are those chosen ones, [2 Chron 16:9; John 6:44] [God has called all who will hear. (Mat 17:5)]

Romans 9:22-24 GW If God wants to demonstrate his anger and reveal his power, he can do it. But can't he be extremely patient with people who are objects of his anger because they are headed for destruction? (23) Can't God also reveal the riches of his glory to people who are objects of his mercy and who he had already prepared for glory? (24) This is what God did for us whom he called [2 Chron 16:9; John 6:44] -whether we are Jews or not. [God has called all who will hear. (Mat 17:5)]
