Here we consider the specific failures of some of the organized religions, such as we perceive them to be at odds with Bible teaching:
The Bible teaches very strongly against our being judges. (reference link to that teaching) Jesus said the word he had spoken would be the judge of each of us in the last day. We thus want to avoid being the judge of others, but if we are to be "noble minded," we must compare those teachings with the Bible. That is what we here attempt to do. For our comparison we strive to assert only what these organizations teach about themselves, or what is very common knowledge about them. As our primary consideration is the Bible's teachings, we will not consider non "Christian" religions. We believe the Bible presents itself with such power and authority there is no reason to consider others. (Hebrews 4:12) They say the way to recognize counterfeit currency is to study and know the real currency, not the counterfeit.
