1 Timothy 1:16-2:6 GNB (16) but God was merciful to me in order that Christ Jesus might show his full patience in dealing with me, the worst of sinners, as an example for all those who would later believe in him and receive eternal life. (17) To the eternal King, immortal and invisible, the only God---to him be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen. (18) Timothy, my child, I entrust to you this command, which is in accordance with the words of prophecy spoken in the past about you. Use those words as weapons in order to fight well, (19) and keep your faith and a clear conscience. Some people have not listened to their conscience and have made a ruin of their faith. (20) Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have punished by handing them over to the power of Satan; this will teach them to stop their blasphemy.
1 Timothy 2:1-6 GNB (1) First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God for all people; (2) for kings and all others who are in authority, that we may live a quiet and peaceful life with all reverence toward God and with proper conduct. (3) This is good and it pleases God our Savior, (4) who wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth. (5) For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus, (6) who gave himself to redeem the whole human race. That was the proof at the right time that God wants everyone to be saved,

1 Timothy 1:16-2:6 NWT 16 Nevertheless, the reason why I was shown mercy was that by means of me as the foremost case Christ Jesus might demonstrate all his long-suffering for a sample of those who are going to rest their faith on him for everlasting life. 17 Now to the King of eternity, incorruptible, invisible, [the] only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 18 This mandate I commit to you, child, Timothy, in accord with the predictions that led directly on to you, that by these you may go on waging the fine warfare; 19 holding faith and a good conscience, which some have thrust aside and have experienced shipwreck concerning [their] faith. 20 Hymenaeus and Alexander belong to these, and I have handed them over to Satan that they may be taught by discipline not to blaspheme.
1 Timothy 2:1-6 NWT I therefore exhort, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, offerings of thanks, be made concerning all sorts of men, 2 concerning kings and all those who are in high station; in order that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life with full godly devotion and seriousness. 3 This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, 4 whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all-[this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times.

1 Timothy 1:16-2:6 GW (16) However, I was treated with mercy so that Christ Jesus could use me, the foremost sinner, to demonstrate his patience. This patience serves as an example for those who would believe in him and live forever. (17) Worship and glory belong forever to the eternal king, the immortal, invisible, and only God. Amen. (18) Timothy, my child, I'm giving you this order about the prophecies that are still coming to you: Use these prophecies in faith and with a clear conscience to fight this noble war. (19) Some have refused to let their faith guide their conscience and their faith has been destroyed like a wrecked ship. (20) Among these people are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan in order to teach them not to dishonor God.
1 Timothy 2:1-6 GW (1) First of all, I encourage you to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and prayers of thanks for all people, (2) for rulers, and for everyone who has authority over us. Pray for these people so that we can have a quiet and peaceful life always lived in a godly and reverent way. (3) This is good and pleases God our Savior. (4) He wants all people to be saved and to learn the truth. (5) There is one God. There is also one mediator between God and humans-a human, Christ Jesus. (6) He sacrificed himself for all people to free them from their sins. This message is valid for every era.

1 Timothy 1:16-2:6 LITV (16) But for this reason I received mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for an example to those being about to believe on Him to everlasting life. (17) Now to the King eternal, incorruptible, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (18) This charge I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies going before concerning you, that you might war the good warfare by them, (19) having faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away, made shipwreck concerning the faith, (20) of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan, that they may be taught not to blaspheme.
1 Timothy 2:1-6 LITV (1) First of all then, I exhort that petitions, prayers, supplications, and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men, (2) for kings and all the ones being in high position, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet existence in all godliness and dignity. (3) For this is good and acceptable before God our Savior, (4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to a full knowledge of truth. (5) For God is one, also there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus, (6) the One having given Himself a ransom on behalf of all, the testimony to be given in its own time,

1 Timothy 1:16-2:6 CEV (16) But since I was worse than anyone else, God had mercy on me and let me be an example of the endless patience of Christ Jesus. He did this so that others would put their faith in Christ and have eternal life. (17) I pray that honor and glory will always be given to the only God, who lives forever and is the invisible and eternal King! Amen. (18) Timothy, my son, the instructions I am giving you are based on what some prophets once said about you. If you follow these instructions, you will fight like a good soldier. (19) You will be faithful and have a clear conscience. Some people have made a mess of their faith because they didn't listen to their consciences. (20) Two of them are Hymenaeus and Alexander. I have given these men over to the power of Satan, so they will learn not to oppose God.
1 Timothy 2:1-6 CEV (1) First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them. (2) Pray for kings and others in power, so that we may live quiet and peaceful lives as we worship and honor God. (3) This kind of prayer is good, and it pleases God our Savior. (4) God wants everyone to be saved and to know the whole truth, which is, (5) There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God. Jesus was truly human, and he gave himself to rescue all of us. (6) God showed us this at the right time.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible
