2 Peter 1:5-11 CEV Do your best to improve your faith. You can do this by adding goodness, understanding, (6) self-control, patience, devotion to God, (7) concern for others, and love. (8) If you keep growing in this way, it will show that what you know about our Lord Jesus Christ has made your lives useful and meaningful. (9) But if you don't grow, you are like someone who is nearsighted or blind, and you have forgotten that your past sins are forgiven. (10) My friends, you must do all you can to show that God has really chosen and selected you. If you keep on doing this, you won't stumble and fall. (11) Then our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will give you a glorious welcome into his kingdom that will last forever.

2 Peter 1:5-11 ESV For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, (6) and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, (7) and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. (8) For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (9) For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. (10) Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. (11) For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-11 GNB For this very reason do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge; (6) to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; (7) to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love. (8) These are the qualities you need, and if you have them in abundance, they will make you active and effective in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (9) But if you do not have them, you are so shortsighted that you cannot see and have forgotten that you have been purified from your past sins. (10) So then, my friends, try even harder to make God's call and his choice of you a permanent experience; if you do so, you will never abandon your faith. (11) In this way you will be given the full right to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-11 GW Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge; (6) to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness; (7) to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love. (8) If you have these qualities and they are increasing, it demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Jesus Christ is living and productive. (9) If these qualities aren't present in your life, you're shortsighted and have forgotten that you were cleansed from your past sins. (10) Therefore, brothers and sisters, use more effort to make God's calling and choosing of you secure. If you keep doing this, you will never fall away. (11) Then you will also be given the wealth of entering into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-11 NWT 5 Yes, for this very reason, by YOUR contributing in response all earnest effort, supply to YOUR faith virtue, to [YOUR] virtue knowledge, 6 to [YOUR] knowledge self-control, to [YOUR] self-control endurance, to [YOUR] endurance godly devotion, 7 to [YOUR] godly devotion brotherly affection, to [YOUR] brotherly affection love. 8 For if these things exist in YOU and overflow, they will prevent YOU from being either inactive or unfruitful regarding the accurate knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For if these things are not present in anyone, he is blind, shutting his eyes [to the light], and has become forgetful of his cleansing from his sins of long ago. 10 For this reason, brothers, all the more do YOUR utmost to make the calling and choosing of YOU sure for yourselves; for if YOU keep on doing these things YOU will by no means ever fail. 11 In fact, thus there will be richly supplied to YOU the entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
