Acts 19:1-7 CEV While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled across the hill country to Ephesus, where he met some of the Lord's followers. (2) He asked them, "When you put your faith in Jesus, were you given the Holy Spirit?" "No!" they answered. "We have never even heard of the Holy Spirit." (3) "Then why were you baptized?" Paul asked. They answered, "Because of what John taught." (4) Paul replied, "John baptized people so that they would turn to God. But he also told them that someone else was coming, and that they should put their faith in him. Jesus is the one that John was talking about." (5) After the people heard Paul say this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (6) Then Paul placed his hands on them. The Holy Spirit was given to them, and they spoke unknown languages and prophesied. (7) There were about twelve men in this group.

Acts 19:1-7 GW While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior provinces to get to the city of Ephesus. He met some disciples in Ephesus (2) and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?" They answered him, "No, we've never even heard of the Holy Spirit." (3) Paul asked them, "What kind of baptism did you have?" They answered, "John's baptism." (4) Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. John told people to believe in Jesus, who was coming later." (5) After they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (6) When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came to them, and they began to talk in other languages and to speak what God had revealed. (7) About twelve men were in the group.

Acts 19:1-7 BBE And it came about that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having gone through the higher country, came to Ephesus, where there were certain disciples: (2) And he said to them, Did you get the Holy Spirit when you had faith? And they said to him, No, we have had no knowledge of the Holy Spirit. (3) And he said, What sort of baptism did you have? And they said, The baptism of John. (4) And Paul said, John gave a baptism which goes with a change of heart, saying to the people that they were to have faith in him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus. (5) And hearing this, they had baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. (6) And when Paul had put his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they had the power of talking in tongues, and acting like prophets. (7) And there were about twelve of these men.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
