Ephesians 2:1-22 MWT ...In the past you were dead because of your disobedience and sins. (2) At that time you followed the world's evil way; you obeyed the ruler of the spiritual powers of this world, the spirit who now controls the people who disobey God. (1 John 5:19) (3) Actually all of us were like them and lived according to our natural desires, doing whatever suited the wishes of our own bodies and minds. In our natural condition we, like everyone else, were destined to suffer God's anger. (4) But God's mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great, (5) that while we were dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved. (John 6:43-47) (6) In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the coming world. (7) He did this to demonstrate for all time to come the extraordinary greatness of his grace in the love he showed us in Christ Jesus. (8) For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it. (9) No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting. (10) God has made us what we are, (John 6:43-47) and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do. (11) You Gentiles by birth---called "the uncircumcised" by the Jews, who call themselves the circumcised (which refers to what men do to their bodies)---remember what you were in the past. (12) At that time you were apart from Christ. You were foreigners and did not belong to God's chosen nation of people. You had no part in the covenants, which were based on God's promises to the Jews, and you lived in this world without hope and without God. (13) But now, in union with Christ Jesus you, who used to be far away, have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (14) For Christ himself has brought us peace by making Jews and Gentiles one people. With his own body he broke down the wall that separated them and kept them enemies. (15) He abolished the Jewish Law with its commandments and rules, in order to create out of the two races one new people in union with himself, in this way making peace. (16) By his death on the cross Christ destroyed their enmity; by means of the cross he united both races into one body and brought them back to God. (17) So Christ came and preached the Good News of peace to all---to you Gentiles, who were far away from God, and to the Jews, who were near to him. (18) It is through Christ that all of us, Jews and Gentiles, are able to come in the one Spirit into the presence of the Father. (19) So then, you Gentiles are not foreigners or strangers any longer; you are now citizens together with God's people and members of the family of God. (20) You, too, are built upon the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, the cornerstone being Christ Jesus himself. (21) He is the one who holds the whole building together and makes it grow into a sacred temple dedicated to the Lord. (22) In union with him you too are being built together with all the others into a place where (Almighty God) lives through his Spirit. (John 6:63)

Ephesians 2:1-22 ESV ...And you were dead in the trespasses and sins (2) in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-- (3) among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (1 John 5:19) (4) But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, (5) even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- (John 6:43-47) (6) and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (7) so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, (9) not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, (John 6:43-47) which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (11) Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called "the uncircumcision" by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands-- (12) remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (13) But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (14) For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility (15) by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, (16) and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. (17) And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. (18) For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. (19) So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, (20) built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, (21) in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. (22) In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God () by the Spirit. (John 6:63)

Ephesians 2:1-22 GW ...You were once dead because of your failures and sins. (2) You followed the ways of this present world and its spiritual ruler. This ruler continues to work in people who refuse to obey God. (3) All of us once lived among these people, and followed the desires of our corrupt nature. We did what our corrupt desires and thoughts wanted us to do. So, because of our nature, we deserved God's anger just like everyone else. (1 John 5:19) (4) But God is rich in mercy because of his great love for us. (5) We were dead because of our failures, but he made us alive together with Christ. (It is God's kindness that saved you.) (John 6:43-47) (6) God has brought us back to life together with Christ Jesus and has given us a position in heaven with him. (7) He did this through Christ Jesus out of his generosity to us in order to show his extremely rich kindness in the world to come. (8) God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God. (9) It's not the result of anything you've done, so no one can brag about it. (10) God has made us what we are. (John 6:43-47) He has created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do. (11) Remember that once you were not Jewish physically. Those who called themselves "the circumcised" because of what they had done to their bodies called you "the uncircumcised." (12) Also, at that time you were without Christ. You were excluded from citizenship in Israel, and the pledges God made in his promise were foreign to you. You had no hope and were in the world without God. (13) But now through Christ Jesus you, who were once far away, have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (14) So he is our peace. In his body he has made Jewish and non-Jewish people one by breaking down the wall of hostility that kept them apart. (15) He brought an end to the commandments and demands found in Moses' Teachings so that he could take Jewish and non-Jewish people and create one new humanity in himself. So he made peace. (16) He also brought them back to God in one body by his cross, on which he killed the hostility. (17) He came with the Good News of peace for you who were far away and for those who were near. (18) So Jewish and non-Jewish people can go to the Father in one Spirit. (19) That is why you are no longer foreigners and outsiders but citizens together with God's people and members of God's family. (20) You are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone. (21) In him all the parts of the building fit together and grow into a holy temple in the Lord. (22) Through him you, also, are being built in the Spirit together with others into a place where God () lives. (John 6:63)

Ephesians 2:1-22 NWT . . .Furthermore, [it is] YOU [God made alive] though YOU were dead in YOUR trespasses and sins, 2 in which YOU at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience. 3 Yes, among them we all at one time conducted ourselves in harmony with the desires of our flesh, doing the things willed by the flesh and the thoughts, and we were naturally children of wrath even as the rest. (1 John 5:19) 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, 5 made us alive together with the Christ, (John 6:43-47) even when we were dead in trespasses—by undeserved kindness YOU have been saved— 6 and he raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly places in union with Christ Jesus, 7 that in the coming systems of things there might be demonstrated the surpassing riches of his undeserved kindness in his graciousness toward us in union with Christ Jesus. 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting. 10 For we are a product of his work [John 6:43-47] and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in them. 11 Therefore keep bearing in mind that formerly YOU were people of the nations as to flesh; “uncircumcision” YOU were called by that which is called “circumcision” made in the flesh with hands— 12 that YOU were at that particular time without Christ, alienated from the state of Israel and strangers to the covenants of the promise, and YOU had no hope and were without God in the world. 13 But now in union with Christ Jesus YOU who were once far off have come to be near by the blood of the Christ. 14 For he is our peace, he who made the two parties one and destroyed the wall in between that fenced them off. 15 By means of his flesh he abolished the enmity, the Law of commandments consisting in decrees, that he might create the two peoples in union with himself into one new man and make peace; 16 and that he might fully reconcile both peoples in one body to God through the torture stake, because he had killed off the enmity by means of himself. 17 And he came and declared the good news of peace to YOU, the ones far off, and peace to those near, 18 because through him we, both peoples, have the approach to the Father by one spirit. 19 Certainly, therefore, YOU are no longer strangers and alien residents, but YOU are fellow citizens of the holy ones and are members of the household of God, 20 and YOU have been built up upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, while Christ Jesus himself is the foundation cornerstone. 21 In union with him the whole building, being harmoniously joined together, is growing into a holy temple for Jehovah () . 22 In union with him YOU, too, are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit. (John 6:63)

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
