is God's Hebrew Name as given in the Old Testament. These verses talk about the end days, our days, when 's fury is being expressed because of the abuse of his nation of Israel by the godless peoples of the earth. You should understand God is not talking about the ancient fleshly nation of Israel, but about his New Creation; about the Spiritual Israel of God. Spititual Israel is comprised of all those who express true faith in Jesus Christ... (Galatians 6:16 of 12-16) God is here talking about destroying those who are harming real Christians...

Ezekiel 38:18-39:7 GNB The Sovereign LORD  () says, "On the day when Gog invades Israel, I will become furious. (19) I declare in the heat of my anger that on that day there will be a severe earthquake in the land of Israel. (20) Every fish and bird, every animal large and small, and every human being on the face of the earth will tremble for fear of me. Mountains will fall, cliffs will crumble, and every wall will collapse. (21) I will terrify Gog with all sorts of calamities. I, the Sovereign LORD  (), have spoken. His men will turn their swords against one another. (22) I will punish him with disease and bloodshed. Torrents of rain and hail, together with fire and sulfur, will pour down on him and his army and on the many nations that are on his side. (23) In this way I will show all the nations that I am great and that I am holy. They will know then that I am the LORD  ()."
Ezekiel 39:1-7 GNB The Sovereign LORD  () said, "Mortal man, denounce Gog, the chief ruler of the nations of Meshech and Tubal, and tell him that I am his enemy. (2) I will turn him in a new direction and lead him out of the far north until he comes to the mountains of Israel. (3) Then I will knock his bow out of his left hand and his arrows out of his right hand. (4) Gog and his army and his allies will fall dead on the mountains of Israel, and I will let their bodies be food for all the birds and wild animals. (5) They will fall dead in the open field. I, the Sovereign LORD  (), have spoken. (6) I will start a fire in the land of Magog and along all the seacoasts where people live undisturbed, and everyone will know that I am the LORD  (). (7) I will make sure that my people Israel know my holy name, and I will not let my name be disgraced any more. Then the nations will know that I, the LORD  (), am the holy God of Israel."

Ezekiel 38:18-39:7 ESV But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, my wrath will be roused in my anger. (19) For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. (20) The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. (21) I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Lord GOD. Every man's sword will be against his brother. (22) With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur. (23) So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD  ().
Ezekiel 39:1-7 ESV "And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. (3) Then I will strike your bow from your left hand, and will make your arrows drop out of your right hand. (4) You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your hordes and the peoples who are with you. I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. (5) You shall fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Lord GOD. (6) I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they shall know that I am the LORD  (). The mountains will be torn down, the cliffs will crumble, and every wall will fall to the ground. (21) I will declare war against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Almighty LORD  (). Each person will use his sword against his relative. (22) I will punish Gog with plagues and death. (3) Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand and make you drop the arrows in your right hand. (4) You will die on the mountains of Israel with your troops and the armies that are with you. You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
