Genesis 17:4-6 MWT ..."Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. (5) No longer shall your name be called Abram ["Exalted Father" or "Father is High"], but your name shall be Abraham ["Father of Many" or "Father of a Multitude"], for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. (6) I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you. (Gal 3:26-29; Gal 3:6-9; Rom 4:13-5:5)

Genesis 17:4-6 GW ..."My promise is still with you. You will become the father of many nations. (5) So your name will no longer be Abram [Exalted Father], but Abraham [Father of Many] because I have made you a father of many nations. (6) I will give you many descendants. Many nations and kings will come from you.

Genesis 17:4-6 ESV ..."Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. (5) No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. (6) I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you.

Genesis 17:4-6 GNB ..."I make this covenant with you: I promise that you will be the ancestor of many nations. (5) Your name will no longer be Abram, but Abraham, because I am making you the ancestor of many nations. (6) I will give you many descendants, and some of them will be kings. You will have so many descendants that they will become nations.

Genesis 17:4-6 CEV ...I promise that you will be the father of many nations. That's why I now change your name from Abram to Abraham. (5) (SEE 17:4) (6) I will give you a lot of descendants, and in the future they will become great nations. Some of them will even be kings.

Genesis 17:4-6 NWT ...“As for me, look! my covenant is with you, and you will certainly become a father of a crowd of nations. 5 And your name will not be called A´bram anymore, and your name must become Abraham, because a father of a crowd of nations I will make you. 6 And I will make you very, very fruitful and will make you become nations, and kings will come out of you.
