Isaiah 40:15-31 MKJV Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the scales; behold, He takes up the coastlands as a very little thing. (16) And Lebanon is not enough to burn, nor the beasts of it enough for a burnt offering. (17) All nations before Him are as nothing; and to Him they are thought to be less than nothing, and vanity. (18) To whom then will you compare God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him? (19) The workman melts a graven image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold, and casts silver chains. (20) He too poor for that offering chooses a tree that will not rot; he looks for a skillful workman to prepare a graven image that will not totter. (21) Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? (22) It is He who sits on the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in; (23) who brings the rulers to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth as vanity. (24) Yes, they shall not be planted; yes, they shall not be sown. Yes, their stump shall not take root in the earth. And He shall also blow on them, and they shall wither, and the tempest shall take them away like stubble. (25) To whom then will you compare Me, or am I equaled? says the Holy One. (26) Lift up your eyes on high, and behold, who has created these, who brings out their host by number? He calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for He is strong in power; not one is lacking. (27) Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hidden from Jehovah [] and my judgment has passed over from my God? (28) Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, Jehovah [], the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow weak nor weary? There is no searching of His understanding. (29) He gives power to the weary; and to him with no vigor; He increases strength. (30) Even the young shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall; (31) but those who wait on Jehovah [] shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:15-31 GNB To the LORD the nations are nothing, no more than a drop of water; the distant islands are as light as dust. (16) All the animals in the forests of Lebanon are not enough for a sacrifice to our God, and its trees are too few to kindle the fire. (17) The nations are nothing at all to him. (18) To whom can God be compared? How can you describe what he is like? (19) He is not like an idol that workers make, that metalworkers cover with gold and set in a base of silver. (20) Anyone who cannot afford silver or gold chooses wood that will not rot. He finds a skillful worker to make an image that won't fall down. (21) Do you not know? Were you not told long ago? Have you not heard how the world began? (22) It was made by the one who sits on his throne above the earth and beyond the sky; the people below look as tiny as ants. He stretched out the sky like a curtain, like a tent in which to live. (23) He brings down powerful rulers and reduces them to nothing. (24) They are like young plants, just set out and barely rooted. When the LORD [] sends a wind, they dry up and blow away like straw. (25) To whom can the holy God be compared? Is there anyone else like him? (26) Look up at the sky! Who created the stars you see? The one who leads them out like an army, he knows how many there are and calls each one by name! His power is so great--- not one of them is ever missing! (27) Israel, why then do you complain that the LORD [] doesn't know your troubles or care if you suffer injustice? (28) Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The LORD [] is the everlasting God; he created all the world. He never grows tired or weary. No one understands his thoughts. (29) He strengthens those who are weak and tired. (30) Even those who are young grow weak; young people can fall exhausted. (31) But those who trust in the LORD [] for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

Isaiah 40:15-31 GW The nations are like a drop in a bucket and are considered to be like dust on a scale. The weight of the islands is like fine dust. (16) All the trees in Lebanon are not enough to burn an offering. Its wild animals are not enough for a single burnt offering. (17) All the nations amount to nothing in his presence. He considers them less than nothing and worthless. (18) To whom, then, can you compare God []? To what statue can you compare him? (19) Craftsmen make idols. Goldsmiths cover them with gold. Silversmiths make silver chains for them. (20) The poorest people choose wood that will not rot and search out skillful craftsmen to set up idols that will not fall over. (21) Don't you know? Haven't you heard? Haven't you been told from the beginning? Don't you understand the foundations of the earth? (22) God [] is enthroned above the earth, and those who live on it are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the sky like a canopy and spreads it out like a tent to live in. (23) He makes rulers unimportant and makes earthly judges worth nothing. (24) They have hardly been planted. They have hardly been sown. They have hardly taken root in the ground. Then he blows on them and they wither, and a windstorm sweeps them away like straw. (25) "To whom, then, can you compare me? Who is my equal?" asks the Holy One. (26) Look at the sky and see. Who created these things? Who brings out the stars one by one? He calls them all by name. Because of the greatness of his might and the strength of his power, not one of them is missing. (27) Jacob, why do you complain? Israel, why do you say, "My way is hidden from the LORD [], and my rights are ignored by my God"? (28) Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The eternal God, the LORD [], the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't grow tired or become weary. His understanding is beyond reach. (29) He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak. (30) Even young people grow tired and become weary, and young men will stumble and fall. (31) Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD [] will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
