John 14:23-27 GNB    Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and my Father and I will come to them and live with them. (24) Those who do not love me do not obey my teaching. And the teaching you have heard is not mine, but comes from the Father, who sent me. (25) "I have told you this while I am still with you. (26) The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you. (27) "Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.

Please note: Verse 26 tells us the holy spirit will recall to our mind what Jesus said. It seems you must first be familiar with what Jesus said for the holy spirit to call it to mind. [Mark 9:7]

John 14:23-27 GW    Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will go to them and make our home with them. (24) A person who doesn't love me doesn't do what I say. I don't make up what you hear me say. What I say comes from the Father who sent me. (25) "I have told you this while I'm still with you. (26) However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you. (27) "I'm leaving you peace. I'm giving you my peace. I don't give you the kind of peace that the world gives. So don't be troubled or cowardly.

John 14:23-27 ESV    Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. (24) Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. (25) "These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. (26) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. (27) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 14:23-27 CEV    Jesus replied: If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them. (24) But anyone who doesn't love me, won't obey me. What they have heard me say doesn't really come from me, but from the Father who sent me. (25) I have told you these things while I am still with you. (26) But the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you. (27) I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn't like the peace that this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

John 14:23-27 BBE    Jesus said to him in answer, If anyone has love for me, he will keep my words: and he will be dear to my Father; and we will come to him and make our living-place with him. (24) He who has no love for me does not keep my words; and the word which you are hearing is not my word but the Father's who sent me. (25) I have said all this to you while I am still with you. (26) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will be your teacher in all things and will put you in mind of everything I have said to you. (27) May peace be with you; my peace I give to you: I give it not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled; let it be without fear.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
