John 15:17-26 GW Love each other. This is what I'm commanding you to do. (18) "If the world hates you, realize that it hated me before it hated you. (19) If you had anything in common with the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But you don't have anything in common with the world. I chose you from the world, and that's why the world hates you. (20) Remember what I told you: 'A servant isn't greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they did what I said, they will also do what you say. (21) Indeed, they will do all this to you because you are committed to me, since they don't know the one who sent me. (22) If I hadn't come and spoken to them, they wouldn't have any sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin. (23) The person who hates me also hates my Father. (24) If I hadn't done among them what no one else has done, they wouldn't have any sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. (25) In this way what is written in their Scriptures has come true: 'They hate me for no reason.' (26) "The helper whom I will send to you from the Father will come. This helper, the Spirit of Truth who comes from the Father, will declare the truth about me.

John 15:17-26 GNB This, then, is what I command you: love one another. (18) "If the world hates you, just remember that it has hated me first. (19) If you belonged to the world, then the world would love you as its own. But I chose you from this world, and you do not belong to it; that is why the world hates you. (20) Remember what I told you: 'Slaves are not greater than their master.' If people persecuted me, they will persecute you too; if they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours too. (21) But they will do all this to you because you are mine; for they do not know the one who sent me. (22) They would not have been guilty of sin if I had not come and spoken to them; as it is, they no longer have any excuse for their sin. (23) Whoever hates me hates my Father also. (24) They would not have been guilty of sin if I had not done among them the things that no one else ever did; as it is, they have seen what I did, and they hate both me and my Father. (25) This, however, was bound to happen so that what is written in their Law may come true: 'They hated me for no reason at all.' (26) "The Helper will come---the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God and who comes from the Father. I will send him to you from the Father, and he will speak about me.

John 15:17-26 ESV These things I command you, so that you will love one another. (18) "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. (19) If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. (20) Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. (21) But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. (22) If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. (23) Whoever hates me hates my Father also. (24) If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. (25) But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: 'They hated me without a cause.' (26) "But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

John 15:17-26 CEV So I command you to love each other. (18) If the people of this world hate you, just remember that they hated me first. (19) If you belonged to the world, its people would love you. But you don't belong to the world. I have chosen you to leave the world behind, and that is why its people hate you. (20) Remember how I told you that servants are not greater than their master. So if people mistreat me, they will mistreat you. If they do what I say, they will do what you say. (21) People will do to you exactly what they did to me. They will do it because you belong to me, and they don't know the one who sent me. (22) If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin. (23) Everyone who hates me also hates my Father. (24) I have done things that no one else has ever done. If they had not seen me do these things, they would not be guilty. But they did see me do these things, and they still hate me and my Father too. (25) That is why the Scriptures are true when they say, "People hated me for no reason." (26) I will send you the Spirit who comes from the Father and shows what is true. The Spirit will help you and will tell you about me.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
