John 2:18-22 GNB
(18) The Jewish authorities came back at him with a question, "What miracle can you perform to show us that you have the right to do this?" (19) Jesus answered, "Tear down this Temple, and in three days I will build it again." (20) "Are you going to build it again in three days?" they asked him. "It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple!" (21) But the temple Jesus was speaking about was his body. (22) So when he was raised from death, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and what Jesus had said.

John 2:18-22 GW
(18) The Jews reacted by asking Jesus, "What miracle can you show us to justify what you're doing?" (19) Jesus replied, "Tear down this temple, and I'll rebuild it in three days." (20) The Jews said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple. Do you really think you're going to rebuild it in three days?" (21) But the temple Jesus spoke about was his own body. (22) After he came back to life, his disciples remembered that he had said this. So they believed the Scripture and this statement that Jesus had made.

John 2:18-22 NWT
18 Therefore, in answer, the Jews said to him: "What sign have you to show us, since you are doing these things?" 19 In answer Jesus said to them: "Break down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." 20 Therefore the Jews said: "This temple was built in forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?" 21 But he was talking about the temple of his body. 22 When, though, he was raised up from the dead, his disciples called to mind that he used to say this; and they believed the Scripture and the saying that Jesus said.

John 2:18-22 CEV
(18) The Jewish leaders asked Jesus, "What miracle will you work to show us why you have done this?" (19) "Destroy this temple," Jesus answered, "and in three days I will build it again!" (20) The leaders replied, "It took forty-six years to build this temple. What makes you think you can rebuild it in three days?" (21) But Jesus was talking about his body as a temple. (22) And when he was raised from death, his disciples remembered what he had told them. Then they believed the Scriptures and the words of Jesus.

John 2:18-22 BBE
(18) Then the Jews put this question to him: What sign of authority have you to give us, seeing that you do these things? (19) And Jesus said to them, Send destruction on this Temple and I will put it up again in three days. (20) The Jews said, The building of this Temple took forty-six years; and you will put it up in three days! (21) But his words were about that holy building which was his body. (22) So when he had come back again from the dead, the memory of these words came back to the disciples, and they had faith in the holy Writings and in the word which Jesus had said.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation
