Luke 6:39-49 CEV Jesus also used some sayings (illustrations) as he spoke to the people. He said: Can one blind person lead another blind person? Won't they both fall into a ditch? (40) Are students better than their teacher? But when they are fully trained, they will be like their teacher. (41) You can see the speck in your friend's eye. But you don't notice the log in your own eye. (42) How can you say, "My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye," when you don't see the log in your own eye? You show-offs! First, get the log out of your own eye. Then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend's eye. (43) A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. (Producing good fruit is directing people to read Christ's words for themselves; while bad fruit is telling them joining some sect of men will help them.) (44) You can tell what a tree is like by the fruit it produces. You cannot pick figs or grapes from thornbushes. (45) Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts. Bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts. Your words show what is in your heart. (46) Why do you keep on saying that I am your Lord, when you refuse to do what I say? (47) Anyone who comes and listens to me and obeys me (48) is like someone who dug down deep and built a house on solid rock. When the flood came and the river rushed against the house, it was built so well that it didn't even shake. (49) But anyone who hears what I say and doesn't obey me is like someone whose house wasn't built on solid rock. As soon as the river rushed against that house, it was smashed to pieces!

Luke 6:39-49 GW Jesus also gave them this illustration: "Can one blind person lead another? Won't both fall into the same pit? (40) A student is no better than his teacher. But everyone who is well-trained will be like his teacher. (41) "Why do you see the piece of sawdust in another believer's eye and not notice the wooden beam in your own eye? (42) How can you say to another believer, 'Friend, let me take the piece of sawdust out of your eye,' when you don't see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye. Then you will see clearly to remove the piece of sawdust from another believer's eye. (43) "A good tree doesn't produce rotten fruit, and a rotten tree doesn't produce good fruit. (Producing good fruit is directing people to read Christ's words for themselves; while bad fruit is telling them joining some sect of men will help them.) (44) Each tree is known by its fruit. You don't pick figs from thorny plants or grapes from a thornbush. (45) Good people do the good that is in them. But evil people do the evil that is in them. The things people say come from inside them. (46) "Why do you call me Lord but don't do what I tell you? (47) "I will show you what everyone who comes to me, hears what I say, and obeys it is like. (48) He is like a person who dug down to bedrock to lay the foundation of his home. When a flood came, the floodwaters pushed against that house. But the house couldn't be washed away because it had a good foundation. (49) The person who hears what I say but doesn't obey it is like someone who built a house on the ground without any foundation. The floodwaters pushed against it, and that house quickly collapsed and was destroyed."

Luke 6:39-49 GNB And Jesus told them this parable: "One blind man cannot lead another one; if he does, both will fall into a ditch. (40) No pupils are greater than their teacher; but all pupils, when they have completed their training, will be like their teacher. (41) "Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but pay no attention to the log in your own eye? (42) How can you say to your brother, 'Please, brother, let me take that speck out of your eye,' yet cannot even see the log in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. (43) "A healthy tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a poor tree bear good fruit. (Producing good fruit is directing people to read Christ's words for themselves; while bad fruit is telling them joining some sect of men will help them.) (44) Every tree is known by the fruit it bears; you do not pick figs from thorn bushes or gather grapes from bramble bushes. (45) A good person brings good out of the treasure of good things in his heart; a bad person brings bad out of his treasure of bad things. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (46) "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and yet don't do what I tell you? (47) Anyone who comes to me and listens to my words and obeys them---I will show you what he is like. (48) He is like a man who, in building his house, dug deep and laid the foundation on rock. The river flooded over and hit that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. (49) But anyone who hears my words and does not obey them is like a man who built his house without laying a foundation; when the flood hit that house it fell at once---and what a terrible crash that was!"

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
