Revelation 21:1-8 GNB ...Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth disappeared, and the sea (of unruly mankind - Rev 17:15) vanished. [Rev 17:15] (2) And I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem (Mt. Zion), coming down out of heaven from God, prepared and ready, like a bride dressed to meet her husband. (3) I heard a loud voice speaking from the throne: "Now God's home is with people! He will live with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God. (4) He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared." (5) Then the one who sits on the throne said, "And now I make all things new!" He also said to me, "Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted." (6) And he said, "It is done! I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end. To anyone who is thirsty I will give the right to drink from the spring of the water of life without paying for it. (7) Those who win the victory will receive this from me: I will be their God, and they will be my children. (8) But cowards, traitors, perverts, murderers, the immoral, those who practice magic, those who worship idols, and all liars---the place for them is the lake burning with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

Revelation 21:1-8 ESV ...Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea (of unruly mankind - Rev 17:15) was no more. [Rev 17:15] (2) And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem (Mt. Zion), coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (3) And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. (4) He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." (5) And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." (6) And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. (7) The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. (8) But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

Revelation 21:1-8 GW ...I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the first heaven and earth had disappeared, and the sea (of unruly mankind - Rev 17:15) was gone. [Rev 17:15] (2) Then I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem (Mt. Zion), coming down from God out of heaven, dressed like a bride ready for her husband. (3) I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "God lives with humans! God will make his home with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them and be their God. (4) He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There won't be any more death. There won't be any grief, crying, or pain, because the first things have disappeared." (5) The one sitting on the throne said, "I am making everything new." He said, "Write this: 'These words are faithful and true.'" (6) He said to me, "It has happened! I am the A and the Z, the beginning and the end. I will give a drink from the fountain filled with the water of life to anyone who is thirsty. It won't cost anything. (7) Everyone who wins the victory will inherit these things. I will be their God, and they will be my children. (8) But cowardly, unfaithful, and detestable people, murderers, sexual sinners, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will find themselves in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
