Romans 5:12-14 CEV Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die. (13) Sin was in the world before the Law came. But no record of sin was kept, because there was no Law. (14) Yet death still had power over all who lived from the time of Adam to the time of Moses. This happened, though not everyone disobeyed a direct command from God, as Adam did. In some ways Adam is like Christ who came later. (Adam was perfect and chose to disobey. Christ was perfect but chose absolute obedience.)

Romans 5:12-14 GW Sin came into the world through one person, and death came through sin. So death spread to everyone, because everyone sinned. (13) Sin was in the world before there were any laws. But no record of sin can be kept when there are no laws. (14) Yet, death ruled from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin in the same way Adam did when he disobeyed. Adam is an image of the one who would come. (Adam was perfect and chose to disobey. Christ was perfect but chose absolute obedience.)

Romans 5:12-14 GNB Sin came into the world through one man, and his sin brought death with it. As a result, death has spread to the whole human race because everyone has sinned. (13) There was sin in the world before the Law was given; but where there is no law, no account is kept of sins. (14) But from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, death ruled over all human beings, even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam did when he disobeyed God's command. Adam was a figure of the one who was to come. (Adam was perfect and chose to disobey. Christ was perfect but chose absolute obedience.)

Romans 5:12-14 BBE For this reason, as through one man sin came into the world, and death because of sin, and so death came to all men, because all have done evil: (13) Because, till the law came, sin was in existence, but sin is not put to the account of anyone when there is no law to be broken. (14) But still death had power from Adam till Moses, even over those who had not done wrong like Adam, who is a picture of him who was to come. (Adam was perfect and chose to disobey. Christ was perfect but chose absolute obedience.)

Romans 5:12-14 ESV Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned-- (13) for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. (14) Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come. (Adam was perfect and chose to disobey. Christ was perfect but chose absolute obedience.)

Romans 5:12-14 LITV Because of this, even as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, inasmuch as all sinned. (13) For sin was in the world until Law, but sin is not charged where there is no law; (14) but death reigned from Adam until Moses, even on those who had not sinned in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a type of the coming One. (Adam was perfect and chose to disobey. Christ was perfect but chose absolute obedience.)

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
